Seem to be hitting a bit of form at the back end of the season once again.

Think we need some players back and for the team to have picked up a little confidence from tonight's win. Can't fault the effort or persistence, but by Christ we need a huge improvement in execution.

So if we beat Saints we finish 5th, but we will be a long way behind the top 4, in every sense. We got a lucky win tonight and other results went our way. We were 4 minutes from finishing 8th and I think Gentle would have gone at the end of the season.

I don't quite agree with that. I refuse to accept that with how good we have been on occasion, we can't be better than we tend to be more consistently. It IS possible, it has to be. It's exactly the point Gentle made about narrowing the gap between our best and worst performances. He was spot on, he just hasn't done it enough yet.

I think it's clear to see that the quality of SL overall has dropped. The fact that all the best players it once had are either not in it or looking to leave is a big sign/reason why. Answer honestly, how do you think the current top 4 would measure up against Saints of 6-7 years ago, or Maguire's Wigan?
