I've never really looked back at Yeamo's career statistically til just then. It became very obvious that Yeamo's best years were 2004-2006 and he pushed Senior close in 2006 but still wasnt better. The worrying this was that Yeamo got a higher number of assists and made fewer erros and missed tackles in 2003 and 2004 than he does now. I know he's in a worse team with a worse coach but it's pretty shocking really how far he's gone backwards. (statistically)

Even putting that to one side Yeamo was a better player back then statistically. Even with Cooke putting numerous clean breaks on a plate for Yeamo he still has never been anywhere near as good as Senior.

We went backwards the moment Agar was made coach.

Senior has not been that great a centre over his career, just a good finisher. Hence why he was always made to look as ordinary as he actually is when he went up against the Aussies. It's not until his pace has gone that he's given his winger a second thought. Still one of the best centres GB have had for several years though. Yeaman is very much like him IMO, so my point remains that the club rightly invested in someone who's still been one of the best in his position in the country.

The problem with King was giving him 2 year deals. He always warranted the deal at the time, as he upped his game when his deal was up. If we'd only ever giving him 1 year rolling deals he'd have probably delivered more consistently.

With Horne, it's a question of hindsight. He's struggled with fitness ever since, but at the time, again, I think he deserved another contract.

I just think it is going overboard to say about how much money we 'wasted' on the 3 players I highlighted. Fully justified investments for me.

greenshields, Prescott and Bosc haven't made a announcement on their futures, fielden and coley have stayed at this years best side (up to now) LMS( and shenton) have signed for one of super leagues most succesf clubs at exciting time(new staduim).

He's the one player ive seen this season who can make you excited. Look at his debut try, he was tugging at his badge like a local Wrexham lad. He could be a proper idol at a club like ours. We need one, seen as the last hero was TV

If Dowes does not like the deal then he can leave, if he stays then he should play to his best.

I wasn't particularly talking about Dowes, but it has to be said Hull have had better vfm from him than certain other players who earn considerably more and expecting a player to perform better by offering a pay cut is plainly stupid.

If he's not wanted don't affer a deal at all.

But that is the thing, he is wanted, but at a reduced rate, he is coming towards the end of his career, he should expect his value to reduce, which it has.

I wonder if Fitzygibbon was offered a pay cut??

If we offer a deal then he is clearly wanted but a rate we see fit. He has two choices:-

1) Leave
2) Stay and play to his best

Once our recruitment is concluded then we should judge our chances.

It wont be a pay rise!
