Every game I go with a view we will win today, I even convinced a few people to go that don't usually go and I felt like a complete fool afterwards. I had been selling my team all week expecting a hard fought close game with Fc eventually coming out winners, excitement wipped up and at least one more new fan joining our ranks, what I got was if we can go watch Leeds every week then I'll definetly come, why would I want to come watch that - Why indeed!!

I have sat on the fence over Agar but I have got to say Average coach and Average team, we will make the 8 but only just the way we are playing. I will continue to go and shout my head off for them to do well but I have not felt so =#FF0000dissapointed in ages.

Agar needs to go; players need to demonstrate a hunger for confrontation and pride in the club shirt or need moving on. I think that's the simple truth.

The clear out we needed and still need is of the whole coaching establishment. We need a new culture top to bottom. Crooks and Last have been many of these players mates for all of their playing careers right through from junior rugby. Agar has been around the club as assistant or coach for , what , 6 years? Seems longer. We've showed that this dynasty idea doesn't work unless it's based on success in the first place. No amount of time will make this coaching set up capable of bringing a good young player through or changing a player's attitude from amateur to professional or indeed building a true bonded team. The club as much as admitted that last year when they had to bring Fitz in mainly to help Agar change some attitudes. We have little in the way of brains out on the pitch granted but to play probably the one player that has one , Whiting , on the wing is crazy. He's a loose man and we should start with him and put the rest around him. Yesterday even the normally brain dead Yeaman - who is playing ok at the mo - could see that we were strong at his side but persisted in going right. Washbrook was arguing with Tansey , Fitz seemed to be just perplexed at times. They looked like they didn't know each other , just the same at Headingly.
Out the lot of them now. Long can take over as , sometime , player coach and sign the ooc players that have something to offer especially Manu who must surely be looking to get away - how sad is it for him to be playing for us , imagine how devastating he'd be in that Leeds side. We wouldn't be any worse with no coach in place.

Yes, that's the infuriating thing. And it's goign to be like that for the next few years; let's just fast forward to this time next year when Agar gets another contract extension.

I know we get accused of being Gateshead but are we rugby league's Newcastle? We both play in black and white, both have an army of loyal fans who deserve better, others would say we have ideas above our station and both sets of supporters are prone to over optimism and subsequent deep depression!

We could sign the full melbourne side and within a month Agar would have coached any natural ability out of them, and we would be playing one man rugby with no backing up and a team that looks as though they have just met before the kick off.
Our board are very good at the business side, sales/sponsership etc but we need a talisman, a RL legend to be able to go anywhere in the RL world and be held with respect. Who can recognise a quality coach and help with top recruitment.
In a few years we have gone from a club with plenty of promising local players, one of the youngest squads, to one of the oldest and most unbalanced.
Watch the DVD of the 2004 season (i know we won the CC in 2005) and you can see we have got worse in quality and ability year on year.
Agar is not a cheap option when we could be attracting more fans to the games, because if he sees out two years we could lose fans for many years to come. 1,000 fans equates to roughly say £10,000 a game,over £100,000 a season, thats not a cheap coach thats a bloody liability.

As upset as i was I think some players did show pride and passion but sadly not all.

Well its not going to Wembley for a few years and forget any grand final.

So this season now depends on beating KR on our own midden, success or failure all rests on that now. While Huddesfield, Bradford, Leeds, Saints, Wire and Wigan all have good prospects. Huddesfield twice at Wembley in four seasons are a team with style, ambition and a desire to win.

Its the other way round if anything as Agar has no backbone or bottle and when it comes to making hard calls such as who to drop etc and always picks on the less experience and younger players who wont stand up to him.

I wasnt in the sports bar before the game but apperently when been interviewed in there he said he could of played yesterday but he will be back for Friday.

And to think after a scraping a win against us earlier in the season you were on the edge of greatness wonder if that poster still thinks that now? Keep your chins up your still in with a good shout of making top 6 never mind top 8

Just think tho, if we give Agar the boot in the next month, which could happen if we dont win the next 3, it makes you wonder who the hell thought a 2 extenstion beyond this year was goos business, we'd have to pay all that off when he gets the chop. What a joke

We have several problems but the biggest two in my opinion are

1. We have promising youngsters who play at every level as a junior who just don't progress to Super League standard. Recently Hall and Lee but I'm sure there are many other examples.

2. If we have a problem player we get rid. The art of management is finding a way of harnessing these players to the benefit of the team and the individual. The bggest example of this is Brough. Boy could we have done with a scrum half for the past three seasons.

I was in. he never said that at all. Said he wasn't ready for yesterday and it would be monitored this week but he didn't know if he'd play Friday. Sounded quite down actually

whats happened to washy looked a cracking player when he first broke through but now is very average and not good enough, i know his best position is loose forward but hes to predictable

Sadly , disagree. He was always lacking in pace if he was to be a back and clearly lacks size as a forward. He was average to start and has gone backwards under Agars stewardship. Not his fault , too much expectation again and all of the local hero rubbish. He tries hard but if he was playing for someone else would he be a player that we would be looking to sign? Of course not and that regrettably goes for most of our home grown brigade.

Amazing what they have achieved since they got a decent coach in at the club after Sharp isnt it.

Just fail to understand why a club like Hull FC refuse to get a top coach in to take it to the next level as by doing that they would get a greater profit by increase in fanbase and merchandise sales alone let alone increase in sponsorship revenue from companies wanted to be involved with a successful team, all for a little extra outlay on a Coach that has a proven track record.

totally agree with all of the stuff on here. i was just surprised the website hadn't been knocked down already with so many angry B&Ws after the alleged "performance" on saturday. my mates have never seen me so vocal and angry watching a game before, i think they were scared and then a little entertained. hull fc clearly have so many problems you couldn't fit em all on here; the list is massive. i'm gutted!!
