I would suggest that most of the posters have no idea what goes on behind closed doors at training/in the changing room/in preperation etc etc, but it is incredibly easy to blame the coach. We lost the last 2 games to Leeds because the players failed to tackle the opposition adequately enough to stop them unloading and/or continuing down fthe field.
Agar does not fill me with confidence or inspire me either but the players must take some responsibility too.

This argument keeps coming back, and quite frankly it doesn't wash and is actually starting to get more than just a bit irritating. The majority of our squad (including today) have shown in the past and still in glimpses now that they definitely ARE good enough. Now, 1 or 2 being past their best is realistic, but for almost an entire squad of players to have slumped to playing below the level they are capable of points to one thing, and one thing only: The coach they are now playing for cannot get the best out of them. There's only one logical course of action, and handing out a 2-year contract extension is not it.

And we don't need to, match day is the bottom line. If we aren't up for it on matchdays, the coach is not doing his job, no excuses. Do you think if Saints/Leeds trained great for 5 days but played abjectly every weekend Potter/McLennan would keep their jobs?

Wigan have the [usame [/usquad of players as last season.
What's the fundamental reason, for their dramatic change in attitude, and playing style???

I disagree I thought the 2 Aussie boys were solid. They cant produce miracles. Manu was awesome. Houghton made some good runs - however.
As soon as O'Meley went off we lost any go forward and aggression. Replacements are meant to provide impact yet Agar opts for Cusack and Dowes. 20 mins in and the game went. Leeds simply powered through our pack. Dowes and Cusack have no impact. They never bust a tackle. Moa at least takes stopping and battles for a fast play the ball. However as our best forward last 2 weeks - inevitably dropped.
Long - why the build up - named in the squad - given until the last minute to play blah blah blah.
Simply past it. Reason why Saints only offered a one year deal. And Richard Horne so static when he recieves the ball. Burrow should him how a scrum half runs the line.
We'll make the 8 but out first round - This for 15,000 avg fans.

Other than a couple of players we were woeful though. Leeds would have beaten most teams but we allowed them to play by not slowing the ptb down imo and we never have done.
AGAR OUT.

Agree with that also only Tansey offers anything attacking the line and for me needs to play in the halves while Long is out.
And the forward situation is baffling you start with impact (O'meley) then give the opposition a rest by bringing on Dowes and Cusack when everyone watching would bring on Moa to keep the pressure on

| Anyone at Leeds last week would agree that Sam Moa was the stand out player by a country mile, and him been dropped yesterday can only be described as dispicable.
While I have never agreed with his negative aproach to the game and questioned numerous decisions that he has made, I always thought Agar came across has a decent bloke, but him his favourtism must go beyond anything he sees on the training field or at the games and unless he is quite frankly a total retard he has not got the club at heart, and now with the board not willing to act I hope the fans get on his back in every way possible and make his personal life a misery until he is forced to quit his job, it is the only way.

| Anyone at Leeds last week would have seen that we are a different team with Sam Moa on the pitch (apart from agar the imbecile)
Anyone at Leeds last week would have also seen, yet again, that Washbrook is just not good enough to be anymore than a squad utility player (apart from Agar the imbecile)
Anyone at Leeds last week would have also seen that Dowes and Radford are just not the standard of props that get you into the top four (apart from Agar the imbecile)
The guy is a clown and he is so far out of his depth that it just isn't funny !!
Agar...do us all a favour and just fook off !!!!

I thought Washy did ok again yesterday. We looked ok in attack, just rubbish in defence again.
You can add Cusack to the Dowes and Radford comment too.

There his players though and he keeps playing them out of position it is him not picking Moa when everyone can see he gives great forward. Its him who picks washbrook to partner Horne when he knows full well that it doesnt work!!!

| Contracts mean nothing in sport these days. The 2 year deal was an attempt to dampen down, what I imagine the board consider unhelpful and distracting speculation, but he won't be at Hull come the end of the season should they continue to play in this manner.
I for one am not quite ready to join the Agar out crowd, there is enough about this team for him to still come good imo, but I can quite understand why some people are calling for the axe.
