My most enjoyable visit to Headingley in 41 years of supporting FC. Had Directors Suite tickets and sat in the box behind Ralph Rimmer, the new RFL Netball coach, Adam and his daughters. Great to be so close to the coaching team and be able to see all the tech in action up close. Prior to the game in the suite, James Bentley predicted a 42-6 home win, Hetherington was bigging up this game as the benchmark for the season. Funny. Go to say the hospitality at Headingley in the Directors Suite is outstanding, as good as I've had anywhere and definitely the best in SL.

Gutted for Cator and surely our injury crisis is going to ease soon, need a lot of troops back for the Giants game.

A fantastic effort from the team , No one realistically gave Hull a chance but I thought the forwards were outstanding ,probably best display for a while to lay the platform for Connor to weave his magic .

Judging by his interview, he really doesn’t want to be there. I thought Leeds said he was a Randnitch type of position, he was supposed to be in charge if recruitment and choosing a head coach. Maybe no one wants “ The poisoned chalice “

Can see Teitvano missing a few games after last night. Leeds really do look an awful team at the minute. Bet Gale is having a little smile as he would have been a better option than the anonymous halfback pairing they have now.
Said before the season I was surprised so many people had Leeds up there as challengers.

Yep agree there as thought he was lucky not to get a yellow and possibly may get picked up for one of the few swinging arms he put in.

I see its the end of the road for Agar as Head Coach for Leeds as he's resigned.

Tony Smith back to Leeds?

I've heard that as well. Agar going the other way to replace him.

I’d heard the Tony Smith rumour but think that’s all it is. Agar still likely to stay at Leeds in the role of DOR which is originally what he was going to be doing.

Not sure Smith would want the hassle or the pressure of the Leeds job.

Think his family still live in Huddersfield.

Leeds forum said that he wanted to go back last time around when Agar got the job.

If Leeds want him, presume it’s whether he stays at Rovers (less pressure), or has another tilt at managing a so called Big Club.

I can't see it happening anyway. It doesn't seem a very TS thing to do he just doesn't seem the type of guy to walk away while he has a contract

To be honest it could just be Smith doesn't want to distract from what they are doing in preparation for the upcoming game so sat out the press conference knowing most talk would be about him and the Leeds job.

Think its a bit of a nothing story to be honest, I would be surprised to see him jump ship during the season (it would make for some great viewing though!)

At least they are playing Leigh again this weekend. I think they played them about 20 times last season as they climbed the league towards Grand Final glory, dodging tricky fixtures against Saints and Cats c/o Covid, along the way.

To be fair they did play Catalans 4 times last year..... but lost them all. Yet they still think they were a great team. Couldnt beat any of the tops teams though. Reality is that even though they made the semi final they were miles away from actually doing anything.

They had two games with St Helens cancelled and one with Warrington and also one with us. They couldn’t reschedule any of them as they were too busy ensuring all their 3 games v Leigh were played.

They weren’t the only team to use Covid to their advantage last season, I think Salford abused the system to their advantage too.
