| if lineham is not 100 per cent id move whiting to fullback like most of the semi and put shaul on the wing who has more height and pace than crookes we then have options to cover positions if we pick up any injurys in the backs during the match

Crookes can shift a bit himself, but shaul is shorter. Whiting as good as he did in a tight situation left two bombs which could of been much worse, lack of pace allowed waterhouse try n gave away an intercept which nearly cost the game.
Love whiting like most of us do but Whiting is no longer a viable option at fullback imo, barring disaster.

I would go for number 1.

Shaul's biggest weakness as a FB is his lack of height IMO. Not saying he wont make it (see Hodgson etc.) but he certainly isn't tall.

Shaul 178cm
Horne 183cm
Source [urlhttp://www.hullfc.com/first-team/squad[/url
I don't really consider Horne as a FB. If he plays at Wembley at all I think he would be on the bench. That would leave us with a very light bench though. I still think PG might select him at FB which I must admit would be a worry after things we've seen in the past (Senior). It's the Coach's call and that's how it should be obviously. He sees what's happening far better than we ever will.

Wasn't making a case for Horne at Wembley but he has filled in there many times in the past and wasn't he our regular FB one season? Gentle was also considering him as FB for this season before we landed McDonnell, I was more interested at the height comparison as Horney doesn't come across as tall either but in old money thats what an inch and a half taller. For me Shaul has done enough to claim the Wembley spot and will hopefully cement his place with another good performance tomorrow.
Thread drifting a bit... So Lineham not yet ruled out, asked this before but do we have access to one of those Hyperbolic (sp) chambers that seem to aid recovery from injury? If we do he should be sleeping in one!

I mentioned Richards lack of pace the other day so if its roller blades we may as well call Wembley off!

That could be part of the plan though - make it look worse than it is, and "lo and behold" Tom sneaks from behind a giant Special Brew can onto the Wembley turf ready to play.
Timely boost-tastic!

Don't Hull City have one of these? Thought they let Gareth Ellis use it earlier in the season, might be wrong though.

Bupa or Spire as they are now have one at the hospital in Anlaby so don't have to rely on Citys.

Am I dreaming, or did'nt City allow one of FC's players to use a Hyperbaric chamber at the KC earlier this season?
