Six months? We gave up trying to sign Chase in October 2012. Do you own a calendar?

Ok so maybe not 6. Thats when we gave up, its widely regarded Chase signed for Salford mid 2013, (June/July)

I have my Hull FC calendar, which states on Junes page, that Lynch is here till the end of 14. On October it says Joe Westerman was at his best last year, and will pick up in 13 where he left off, he is equally at home in the middle or the flank and has natural handling skills and intelligent running lines. So theres no help there

Chase refused to apply for a new visa, There was also the legal battle going on between two agents about which actually represented him and also Cas kept changing the fee they wanted.

Under the above circumstances I don't blame the club from walking away.

I also personally don't think Chase is the type of halfback we need he doesn't know what he's going to do from one minute to the next let alone lead a team around the pitch. he's a great individual player who can change a game but the fact his team mates don't know what he's going to do is hardly the structure we need.

Indeed. And I've said elsewhere that I'm disappointed that the club didn't keep an eye on the visa situation and take another look at Chase when the rules changed. But by then we'd added Miller so not sure if the cap/quota situation would have allowed it.

Don't know when he signed, but he only got his visa 2 or 3 weeks ago. That's the thick end of a year after we gave up. And he won't be playing for Salford until next season.

I think Miller took Seymours quota spot.

Have a word with admin and ask why they didn't remove it when I "resigned" 6 months ago then.

Am I the only one remembering that we wanted to sign both? Holdsworth coming had little or no bearing on whether or not we got Chase, so I really don't see the point being made (or not).

The entire thread is pointless because Chase will never play for Hull FC and there is nothing to be achieved by trying to agonise or analyse why.

Wouldn't be surprised if we did at one stage, wasn't we trying to release Seymour to Hudds?
