whats the point in releasing a player if another team can just offer them a new contract the next day. if a player is released the RFL should back up clubs by baning that player until there contract would have finished like the NRL. otherwise its only the club and the fans that get punished as not only are they a player down they would then have to play against that player.

You forget that your chairman signed a player that had come out of Jail for violence (Chev Walker) and another convicted of ABH (Paul Cooke) - add to that the recent case - thats 3 in your team.
