| Quote ="the artist"i would love to know where you think we can get a top class coach from. there's only 30 positions available in the world of RL at the top level. out of these you're kidding yourselves if you think a current nrl coach will leave his job and come to hull, and superleague coaches are much of a muchness with any better ones under long term contracts. this leaves only those out of work (these are out of work for a reason) and nrl assistants who are unproven with the head coach job and thus are a bit of a gamble. i agree that we should spend as much as possible on a top class coaching team, i just don't see where they are going to come from'"
Noble is 'considering Salfords offer' of being Director Of Rugby, but his body language on the BBC today looked like he is thoroughly peed off with the situation! and he hinted he would be taking legal advice.
i.e. I reckon he'd be up for it if Hull rang him. I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he's the experienced coach with contacts that we need IMO. I think he has been very harshly treated at Salford, 3 wins from 7 so far isn't all that bad considering their best two players have missed games (Chase has been injured for a few games and Hock banned) and the team needed time to gel with so many new signings.

Adam won't be getting rid of Radford just yet a while and anyway if he did he'd be no better than Koukash. Talk about a knee jerk reaction and for me Harris, Hay and Long is certainly no instant receipe for success, he'd have been better sticking with Noble! There will be some tears before bedtime at Salford before long me thinks!

Let me get this straight, you think we should do to Radders what Salford have just done to Noble after admitting you think he has been harshly treated?

| Stick with Radders. We're building a young team. Harris now has to work with Dads Army and Koukash breathing down his neck,
Hows that for pressure?

Noble is a 3 time Grand Final winning, Ex-GB experienced coach not a former player in his first job which is the big difference.
Also Radford took over a side that finished 6th the last 2 years, not one that finished 11th and 14th.

Yes I am saying Yes, there's no room for sentiment in sport, Radford isn't performing, there are no green shoots (in my eyes of course) that we are about to turn a corner and go on a good run. He has struggled during a period that was meant to be easy with all the home games...ditch him now before the rot sets in even further.

Noble is the only credible experienced option at the moment, while he has his flaws, I think he would at least halt the decline and steady the ship.
whoever we get in it has to be an experienced coach who has been there and won things, we've tried this 'hire the assistant and hope for the best' routine 5 times in a row now and it doesn't work.

| Noble would walk across broken glass to coach a club like ours.
But instead we stick with the toothless amateur coach who only puts the kids on the naughty step.

Anderson as done ok...same as Brian mac at Leeds he won nothing at London..a big part is the squad you inherit imo.

You might want to take a look at some of the rumours coming out of the Salford dressing room over the last few weeks. Players 'baffled' by Noble's coaching methods and game plans, astonished at how out of touch he was with the modern game, etc.
I wouldn't touch Noble with a bargepole personally.

| The thing about the likes of Anderson, McDermott and Wane is that whilst they've all done well in their respective jobs they have either all served quite a number of years as an assistant coach, youth coach, or done an apprenticeship at a lesser team which has given them the experience they need to make the step up to their current roles. Radders has only done two years as an assistant (although he has a lot more years under his belt through his amateur teams) and this may ultimately prove the difference for him. Time will tell.
As I've said previously, in hindsight I think we should have gone for Noble when Agar left. I think he could have sorted the team out and laid some foundations for a successor (Radders) to build on. Had he been available when Gentle left I would have probably said the same thing as I would have preferred an experienced coach to another promoted assistant. I've not heard the rumours that Kosh has mentioned so can't comment on them.
But the fact is that Noble wasn't available when Gentle left and AP chose Radders. Just because Noble is now available doesn't mean that we should dump Radders. He needs time to prove that he can/can't do the job. 7th in the league after seven games is a pretty good start I think. It certainly doesn't warrant sacking just because someone else is available. I've been a bit critical of some of his methods and what I feel have been mistakes so far but I aren't calling for his head. He needs time.

Most importantly they've all taken over far better and more settled squads.

| Realistically Hull are not going to sack Radford a few months into a three year contract. Barring a catastrophic collapse at least. Not when he was placed so centrally in AP's 'Hullistic' vision. Getting rid of Gentle might be considered as decisive action. Sacking Radford soon after could only look like chopping and changing and a sign that AP didn't know his own mind.

If we was bottom of the league you could maybe understand such a decision. AP could hold his hands up and say that he tried something, it's not working out and he had to make a call with relegation back on the table. Anything else and it's just chopping and changing as you say.
