Not a great performance or a terrible one but very little attacking threat as expected. Poor discipline in the first half cost us dealt again and they really need to get that message!!!
Taylor immense as usual and looks again as though he’ll be carry the pack. Paea really needs to step up for me did little other than give away penalties.
Connor needs to learn fast too as he is far more valuable on the pitch than in the stand, had he played we’d have most probably won that game and should have but wrong option taken by Sneyd as should have put kick in to touch.
Better than I thought we’d go but still look like same issues are there that always continually cost us.

I dont know why we challenged for the ball, we should have let Crooks get it then smashed him.

Can't believe Drinkwater was man of the match. Thought he was pretty poor and offered very little. Garbutt should have got it.

Agree with Chris, we looked strong in defence and make easy meters

Poor in their 20 and bad discipline, you can only hope when the get our 3 main attacking players things will improve.

Garbutt was their best player made a huge difference imagine him on our bench instead of Paea

It's worth noting though two epic defensive efforts from Rovers in the final 10 to stop two clear tries.

Well we had a go, and still need to get the discipline sorted out.Thought we should have gone for two points when we got the chance.Could have won it with a bit more thought and another playmaker on the field.Solid performance and not much to seperate the sides.Looking at last nights game, and ours tonight, i think we're a long way off the top

gutted but thought the effort was immense, did enough to win it but got caught out on the last play, when we get some players back we will do ok,

I also think we will do okay. Let them have their night tonight but I think come end of the season we will finish comfortay above them. I know it's all ifs and buts, but with a full compliment tonight I think that would have been a pretty easy win. Made metres easily but lacked a bit of x factor near the line,something that Connor and Kelly could have provided.

Can't say I agree, both were bruising encounters with very little chances and tough defence.

Thought I'd ask just as alot have raved about last night and I personally didn't have it as a great game.

Think the play the ball is the one thing the top sides always execute faster and Saints are masters at it.Thought we played quite well in the game tonight and i still can't understand why we never went for two points in the second half when we got a penalty.Dawson Jones gave a good account i thought,Danny Houghton ran more and Carlos seemed back to his old self.We got out smarted on the bell but we had a go,that's all you can ask for.

Agree there thought he did ok. Just think we went to safe with Washy at 6 although it was a nice bit of play for Dawson’s try.

Was pleasing to see Sneyd take the line on more too and hope that’ll continue and not just be out of necessity.

Also have to say I don’t think we looked any worse than Wigan to be fair as they had their halves etc and created bugger all. Their line speed may have been quicker but tbf think it’d be a marginal call.

The concerns about our props came home to roost. Paea and Thompson lacked impact. We really need strengthening in that department or it will continue to be our undoing.

I thought Sneyd had a great game tonight. He would have got MOM if we had won.

Their bench tonight was far superior to ours and thats 12 losses in a row irrespective of whether they won in the last 6 seconds

Feared the worst at half-time but thought we looked fitter, stronger, and dominated them second-half.
Watched my wager go up in smoke with 6 seconds to go but was more gutted for the lads after their second-[istanza[/i efforts.

Faraimo for me. Looked ridiculously strong in the collision. But I thought that whole left side was good. Sneyd, Griffin and Faraimo.

Either Paea is still carrying an injury or he’s done. He lacked any go forward and impact at all, disappointing performance from him tonight. Thought Thompson did ok but he isn’t going to bend or break the line, but occasionally will get through as he not got a bad step.
Said in an earlier post that Taylor going to be carry the team in the forwards again certainly until Bowden & Green get back to full fitness and find the form from 2017.

At half time Sheens said

Really poor up front for me. Packs win matches and we are short of a prop and a pacey 2nd rower

Imagine if we'd have held on with a MDJ try and a sublime bit of skill by Washy for his assist effort.
You'd of had to skulk off into a corner after whining about the pair of them all week.
I'd have enjoyed that, but alas, it wasn't to be.
