I won't shoot the messenger.
Would seriously prefer to keep Agar. Without being a drama queen, part of the reason for getting rid of Agar is to provide the fans with some level of confidence about the club's ambitions and also to get a coach that's a "draw" for bigger names than Agar can attract. McNamara is the exact opposite on both counts.

| i think noble might go to salford if mcrea gets the boot, with them moving into the new stadium and spending alot of money on the team and given they are a manchester side salfords quite an attractive side to go to and would suit noble bit like the crusaders. personally for us we should be aiming for the best possible, hull fc is a very attractive club to come to with all the off the field success and the fanbase ect were up there with wigan and leeds so we should be going for the likes of danile anderson who i believe isnt doing to much at the moment, steve folkes?, jon lang?, graham murray?

Kearney, Smith and bennett all got good jobs no chance of them , not sure Kemble is proven but would be happy with Anderson and his morgan's brother -in-law so maybe would come

Wouldn't want Lang or Folkes at all. Anderson & Murray are not bad choices, but both left their previous clubs under a cloud.
Kearney would have been good.

| Kearney won't come to SL just yet. Folkes is a fairly dour character and plays his rugby in the forwards, not sure it's what we want.

Yes they have good jobs.......they also have a price (esp B Smith) and thats my entire point that the board need to do whatever to bring in the right man instead of loking at the likes of Last,Webster, Mc Banana ect ect

Folkes would just be a continuation of the type of rugby that we want to see the back of.
Too late for Kearney now.
My fear is that we ditch Agar, & end up with another Peter Sharp type.
To get the coach that a club of our size deserves it will take money, & the Hetheringtons would rather do it cheap!.

And they refuse to acknowledge the fact that we have only won 3 of our last 10 games and the fact that our last 4 games we have only played 2 teams and lost to each of them twice, so mr lloyd its just because of the last 2 games and its not because of the last 10 games this goes alot further back.
I can see alot of peeved of fc fans texting in tomorrow night.

Hull not only appointed Agar they then extended his contract and for no apparent reason.
If Agar is sacked the very same people who appointed him will choose his successor.
For them Hull FC is an investment and thanks to you it is a good investment.
You are the real problem for supporting this regime. Every time you call for the coach to be sacked they will be laughing out loud.
Eventually they will actually sack him and you will probably say thank you.

Not if they appoint McNamara instead. I'll want Rule's head on a spike.

| We've got to do better than Noble surely?
The successful teams of recent years (Saints, Leeds, Wigan, Wire) have all enjoyed that success under Aussie or Kiwi coaches. That's the route we must go down.

On what basis? In the past when there's been a vacancy we've been linked with the big names and have gone with Kear, Sharp and Agar. I agree I'd love a real big name coach, but Noble seems the best we can realistically hope for. Or apparently not, if McNamara is the name in the frame. We'd need to compensate the RFL too. Happy days.

Noble is without doubt the best British coach at the moment but are we going to win anything with him at the helm? His record towards the end of his tenure at Wigan was far from impressive.

I don't disagree. But I'm saying I'd much rather have Noble than the more likely candidate McNamara. Hasler/Kearney etc are a pipedream.
