he's done nothing for Salford since joining, cas have improved massively as a team since he left. he is a walking ego, it as to be all about him. sneyd has had a good season so far, but whether it will continue time will tell.

for me you need to spend your big money on the spine of the team, and the rest can be filled with young talent and consistant players

I never we should sign him, i opened it up for debate (which I am sure what this forum is for).

Persoanlly I undecided, he more or less singlehandedly beat us in the cup, and IMO is a far better player than anything we have at the club, the reason Cas are better is because of their coach and the fact they get to spread there salary cap evenly instead of paying big on one players, we should have a bigger budget and could afford him. He is a massive knob though and inconsistent, but much better than anything we have at halfback.

And was a passenger the week before. Great player on his day but too inconsistent for me. Given our existing consistency issues I don't think he's the right signing for us.

I think you are right Doc, give me the choice between Rankin and Chase, I'd take Chase, but I still hope we sign two decent halfbacks, although I have been saying this for years.

Has been a good boy so far at salford, he certainly goes missing alot less than our current halfs, I'm not saying we should sign him, but I'd rather have him at halfback next season for Hull than Rankin or Miller.

If it's true about Dobson to Salford , can't see hudge been to happy after Dobson using the clause in his contract to go to oz when hudge wouldn't let him go to Salford last year .

If we did sign Chase (and I'm not sure we should) his half back partner would need to be an experienced, "steady the ship" sort of player to provide stability on those days he goes AWOL or has another brain fart.

Dobson exercised a clause to have another crack at the NRL. Even if wd wanted to sell to Salford, we couldn't force him to go there. Hudge & Dobson parted on very good terms.

Reckon Miller will go back home, Rankin to stay and replace Horne.

Although not totally given up on Rankin.

I definitely think that Jordan Rankin has a future at the club. As I've said before, he's the only one of our three recognised halves who shows a bit of spark.

Does he do it enough thought, scored a few good trys against London and Rovers, but has been good enough in the majority of games he has played. I'm not saying he doesn't have a future, but the jury's still put for me and I think we really need him to show his skills more on a regularly basis. the first few games his long kicking seemed good, but suddenly that has stopped.

I agree, I'd like to see Rankin given a chance alongside a decent no7.

Miller though has had his chances for me, haven't seen anything from him at all.

I disagree, the last few games (Magic in particular) Miller was the one trying and doing the majority of the work while Rankin has been really quiet.
