even with a full squad I don't think we would have won, reason being is when it comes to a game against opposition with real quality we come unstuck. We always have been a team that struggles against the big boys, huddersfield, Leeds, Wigan, wire, baring the wins we've had against saints of late... Leeds are struggling but they'll put 40 on us... God help the Wigan score next week

Brave effort but it was always gonna be tough with all those players out against a full strength Hudds side who had rested players. We will be stronger for this in the long run, young players gaining valuable experience.

Heard we should have Aspinwall, O'Meley, Horne, Mckinnon and Yeaman back for Leeds game. Plans to rest Martin and Sharp next week.

Could be nearing full strength for Leeds game.

Think having the weeks off is actually going to be better for us in the long run. Some slim chance it'll help us get bodies back.

Bomber is back is making me look positive.

God knows how we will get a team together next week.

Get the pitch watered and pray for frost next week.

We'll play the youngsters again and most likely lose. That's all we can do, and realistically it won't have a great deal of impact on our season. On the positive side our young players are getting some invaluable experience that could well set us in good stead for the future.

We were 14 points up against the league leaders with the same team. Why couldn't we do it again? And in RL momentum can change in a blink of an eye. A break, a mistake from them etc. It could have easily changed. I keep the faith and stay positive but realistic, unlike you.

Just missing too many players at the end of the day, looks injuries to Seymour and turner. was impressed by kent but ellis defence is awful

Not sure what to think about Catalans still been in the cup.
On one hand, while they're still in we get a weekend off rather than having to catch up on the game in hand, but if they go the full way and there's no spare week it may mean we need to fit the fixture in mid-week?
Not really sure how it works when having to catch up on games. Can anyone shed some light on it?

In all honesty there is a few who are out on the sidelines who would have played if it was a cup final, under the new regime though nobody is brought back till they are 110% ready. Even more so if a player has had a knock and not trained early in the week he will more then likely not feature.

I get the impression that we are going to take this next month easy and use it as a chance to give youngsters experience. With plans in place to hit the ground running again for the Leeds game.

Good first half, but the side we had out was always going to struggle to maintain the intensity against a full strength Hudds. Credit to Martin and a few others who obviously weren't fit, but took the field because there was no one else.

I said earlier that Ellis is miles off Horne standard, really missing him at the moment.

As kosh has said very good experience for the youngsters, just too many at the moment.

I guess it must be my inexperience. Im only 23 and haven't played or coached that many games. I guess I should now know 4 points is a big ask. I agree it was going to be a hard task against them with injuries but anything can happen in RL, especially in the CC and when you can go 14-0 up with a half injured team against a top team. Sorry Mod. I guess i like to keep the faith and don't spit my dummy out when we're getting beat.

I think you're digging yourself a hole here. I don't know if you went to the game, but it was pretty clear to all around me that as soon as Hudds took the lead we were never going to claw it back.

I agree it would be tough when they went in the lead but IMO a game is never over with 4 points in it. I've seen many games where we have been getting hammered, we don't look like scoring and we come back. Anything can happen in RL.

The team did well, just little mistakes and a little help from the ref an touch judge gave huddersfield the momentum to kick on.

there first try in first half was forward, and ellis not finding touch.. Maybe knock on but linesman never saw any..

Were you there? It was plain to see this one was over at that stage. Hudds looked sharp, fast, fresh and fit. We looked tired, slow and jaded. Once they took the lead, there was only going to be one outcome, particularly when you consider we had probably our strongest 13 on the park at the time.

Under the circumstances I thought we did OK.
Brilliant effort in the first half, though it clearly took it's toll as the 2nd half went on. A few individual errors and missed tackles contributed to the scoreline.

Well played Hudds too, stuck to their task, didn't get too frustrated and wore us down.

Not too fussed about the result, I expected to lose, I'm more concerned about the extra knocks we seemed to pick up.
