Injuries can happen at any stage of a players career, shoulder injuries are a way of life in RL and Longy was just unlucky with the way it has gone. It was always going to a gamble and I am affraid its just not paid off, nice try and nice to see him in the famous black&white irregular hoops.

I am affraid the cheering at Longy going off was picked up on RH and it was more then just a "few idiots" No excuses, it was appalling and those involved did the sport no favours today.

As he walked off you couldn't tell the severity of the injury.

Jake Webster & Joel Clinton both walked from the field with shoulder injuries on Monday & neither were applauded by the Wigan fans, if they'd been stretchered off it would have been different.

Very salient point Moose. I think any player who looks to have sustained a serious injury is generally applauded by the opposing team, if we start applauding every player who takes a knock we will spend as much time clapping opposing players as we will our own.
