So Agar and Morgan, two Coaches maxing out the Salary cap each year have marginal records over a guy who works with limited resources with very little praise from outside his own club and prefers to keep himself to himself instead of doing SKY work and TV interviews.

TBF from what i've put there i don't want any of those coaches.... None are good enough on those figures!!

Like I said, if you are only spending 65-70% of the salary cap and you are up against teams like Leeds, Warrington, Saints and Wigan then his record is not bad in comparrison to two blokes who are maxing it out.


In Football, managers who managed to keep a side in the Premier League on a shoestring are raved about, why not in the case of a guy with a much weaker squad in SL?

He is making do with players that Morgan cast off such as Fozzard yet still sits in the top 8?

Matterson has done a great job at Castleford with the resources at his disposal and has a proven track record of bringing youngsters through. I would like to see him at Rovers if/when Morgan leaves at the end of the year.

I'm so very bored of Agar's miserable excuse-a-thons and need some new excitement in my FC-dominated existence. I am starting to look extremely favourably on anyone that isn't him. Noble, Cullen, Millward, Murdock, Lasty...better still, let me do it. At least we'd have a decent calendar if I were in charge.

Brian Noble is the choice IMO out of experience alone, however as noted there are many top flight coaches available doing bugger all at present thats for sure....

However for now RA is still there and we should support him till that changes mate!!
I believe the watershed for RA now is the next CC match , if that goes belly up its asta la vista IMO

He wasnt playing with pennies at Wigan and his record was average at best.

At Crusaders he was getting a lot.....and I mean a lot, of help from Iestyn and Sharpy.


Given those to facts I would still rather have Matterson at my club than Nobel any day of the week.

Anderson was due to take over at the Giants - perhaps he'd prefer not to wait another year for a top job? Surprised Hanley rarely gets a mention - not that I think you (or we, if we'd lost) would be a natural match, but he seems to have been forgotten.
