id still play sharp on the wing but he has to improve no one doubts his commitment and effort but his defernsive ability and silly silly errors has to stop. if he isnt to improve then youve got to look at maybe turner,whiting and lynne on the wing and look for a replacement for 2012 but its upto sharp now to prove himself

I would have Briscoe & Yeamo on the left, Gleeson & Sharp on the right.

Sharp isn't doing that much wrong, it's just because he is in the spotlight the mistakes he makes are being highlighted more! I agree he needs to cut out his mistakes, but he is also looking better and better in attack each week.

I like Sharpe, he is keen as mustard, however he is young and clearly still has some aspects of his game that need developing, the idiots who cheered when he caught the high ball and cheered when he was taken off will not have done his confidence any good

....a few games with the under 20s will not do him any harm for the next few weeks imo.

No doubt the same idiots who came up with ironic cheers and noises when Motu Tony went through a stage of a lack of confidence under the high ball.

And the same blokes who were booing and sang "We want Agar out" within the same half an hour of singing "We Are Hull" and Old Faithful.

To be fair Motu Tony was appalling under a high ball end of...and ironic cheers or not he was still crap under a high ball

inclined to agree with you there.a couple of under 20 games should give him some time to improve his defensive positioning and take him out of the spotlight.

I'm certainly not going to imply Sharpe is blameless but he is being exposed in the same way we have been for several years now. It may well be that IF we get a international class centre inside him then his defensive positioning and general confidence may well improve. The failings of our right wing is not all down to him.

For me its a problem that Agar and the club have failed to solve for a while now. Gleeson might, might just have the desired affect. Putting Sharpe into the 20s will not assist. Too many have been dropped in the past to learn and get confidence and it hasn't had any affect. For example Craig Hall for one.

Maybe so. But personally I would prefer people reserve these for the opposition full back or winger and not Motu Tony or (now it would appear) Will Sharp.

No doubt Sharp got caught out for the bomb - the first thing you are taught at school is not to let a rugby ball bounce - but I think he has been in a bit of a no win situation this season on a number of occasions having to come inside to tackle a centre and the ball then been passed out to a winger with open space in front of him. Can only imagine Gleeson would shore things up for him in defence and give him a few runs in attack (and we saw from one break last night that he clearly has pace to burn).

I think Agar might drop Sharp and go Briscoe, Yeaman, Gleeson, Whiting. If we sign Gleeson, of course. Not saying that's what I would do, but Whiting's played wing in the past.

Why would that send the wrong message to the team ? Whiting was dropped on Friday for a dip in form and that was entirely fair enough. Not sure I would replace Sharp with Whiting but I would certainly challenge Sharp's position with Lyne.
