| Childs was awful for both teams tonight, truely a disgrace and the RFL need an inquest into this idiots officiating.
To be fair, he helped no team, his standard of refereeing is so bad he will penalise anyone or any team, a majority of all tries tonight came from each others penalties, especially one of your which started from on your line when Ferres gave a needless penalty away.
To me it wasn't a great game by either team nor official.

| Child was a joke and without doubt cost Hull the match. A blitz of penalties against us at the beginning of each half killed us. An absolute joke the guy is and he'll be reffing next week without a doubt.

Sorry mate but thats b0llocks unless he has mind powers he didn't consult anyone as he gave the decision straight away you must be thinking of a differnt incident there were that many tbf its easy to lose track.

| All you need to look at is the first decision when we were adjudged to have carried out a player into touch. He gave a Cas SCRUM. Joke ref, not got a clue, get him out. Pathetic.
To see a player like Fiztgibbon, consistently questoning decisions says it all for me.
Best side lost. Classy cas, were dirty tonight, but got the points. They did not deserve them though.

You don't need to see an incident to be able to quote something from the 'The Laws of the Game'? You do realise you could be quoting completely the wrong thing?

I think that's a good point mate. At this present moment in time, I'm not all that fussed about Super League. The NRL is a much better competition and that's without even looking at the quality of the players over there. The officiating and actual rules are miles ahead of what we have over here. If an NRL game was played at the same time as a Super League game, it wouldn't even cross my mind to watch the SL game. It's a sad state of affairs that it's come to this really.

| I didn't see the Hull v Cas game so no comment.
But when I first witnessed a Childs refereeing display I offered the opinion that the purpose of Childs was to make it seem that the other refs maybe aren't all that bad after all.
It works too. Nowadays when I look to see who is reffing a match I always think 'Anyone but Childs'.
From now on I guarantee whoever your least favourite ref has been in the past, you will welcome them with open arms, because they are not Childs.

Read what was written and you'll see I was commenting on what was described on here.
I would have no need to witness a murder, yet still be able to quote the law on the subject

I think it was probably the amount of possession that we gave them in penalties that ultimately meant we didn't get enough time near their line in the second half. From the beginning of the second half (wasn't counting the first) we were 7-1 down in penalties at one stage. I know you favour the ill discipline and ineptitude line which is fair enough - what I would say is that had penalties been given for the same offences more evenly we would have had better field position and won the game. A different opinion but that's my take on it.

I would agree with that completely. We were unable to sustain any real pressure on their try line because we just kept getting marched back down the field. The absence of Longy for a period didn't help either.

| There were many factors in losing the game yesterday imo, Childs was certainly top of that list, but a poor kicking game, Long losing his head and interchanges are certainly in that list as well imo, and not least the fact that Castleford were on the park and put in a passionate and committed performance.
Our lads and coach can walk away with their heads high - we are playing some great Rugby League at the moment, our passing game and speed of PTB is much improved and our defence is committed as the score line shows. I think if we can keep up at that level then we will be ok this season.
That game was an incredible disappointment for me - not the result, but it was clear that we had two Rugby League teams, evenly matched, willing to go all out to produce a fantastically entertaining game, but it was utterly destroyed by the man with the whistle. That is not what sport is all about.

Do you honestly believe Cas will finish in the top 4 ?....They are 2nd but let us be honest they did not look any better than us ...the ref made bad calls which resulted in Cas gaining lots of field position, they only won by 2 points, had we had a decent ref I maintain we would have won that game.
You state Cas are 2nd well there is a lot of hope for us then because Cas are no better than us.

| Has anyone seen the Radford sin binning on Sky news?
He looked like he had one hand on the ball to stop the offload and the other on the Cas players chest while pulling him backwards to the ground. Add this to the fact Childs view was looking at the back of Radford...how did he come to the conclusion that it was a choke hold??

| I never thought I'd say I wished for Ashley Klein to come back but maybe the way forward is to throw some money at Australian referees and/or send some of ours over there to learn properly?
I know sometimes you watch a game back and think "well actually he got that one right" and I'd love to be in the position where I could re-watch it. However, failing to stop the clock (twice) and waving our captain away (on more than one occasion) when he is perfectly entitled to ask for the reason behind a decision is pure incompetence.
