understatement of the year so far, cmon east hull is quite right weight is not something we have an issue with and there is plently of grunt and impact off the bench in our forwards that is for sure!!
In fact given a cross the board view of the whole pack we have and reps I would say that all but three clubs would give their right arm to have our grunters.
The issue we have is simple,some of our reps in backs are a little inexperienced however you do not learn unless you get to play and guys like pearce etc will get a run out this year thats for sure.
and to say Moa, Fitz, Omeley, Radford, Pearce, Manu , Ticks, Hame and others is a light pack is well silly in my opinion

Many have missed the fact that having minimal disruption in the squad will be a godsend this year and will i am sure bare fruits for the fans as well, and one or two clubs we struggled against last year for no reason will meet a totally different FC this time around.... I for one cant wait for kick off

Every team in Super league have grafters and tackle busters , in the grafting dept both are more than able and have never let us down !!, in the ideal world we would like to have 8 Gb and Oz internationals to choose from on rotation however the real world is all SL teams have grafters too

so are we now saying that Fitz and Moa dont grunt enough for the team as well

Packs are about having the right balance between impact and workhorses, I think we have that. What we lack is some cover in the backs and some cover for 6/7/9 with this being the most important.

Not sure why people are worried about our pack, did well last year, only lost Cusack who was poor and replaced him with Westerman.

The pack or props isn't our problem.

quite right paul, in fact we probably have as good a pack as in SL, again your correct that our reps weakness is in the backs not the pack however i think one or two of our young stallions will surprise this year !!!

It doesn't matter if we had 4 tackle busting, offloading props, when we don't have runners (dummy and live) then they could be capable of juggling whilst whistling dixie in the front row and it would make no odds.

FC's season will, yet again, be defined by injuries to our 6 and 7.

yeh i dont think our major problem is the props but going forward and if we are serious about being a top team then we need to be more ambitious and replace players like dowes and radders with better players

Until you are established as a team that are regularly winning trophies, the cap makes it a difficult proposition. You might be tempted to chuck Warrington at me and tbh I'd have to shrug and agree. Ignoring their precedent, developing your own players and having kids punching above their wage is the way to go. We don't have that yet and your production line seems to have stuttered slightly. Hull and Rovers are capable of winning a trophy (probably the CCup) with a fair wind, if they peak at the right moment. To do what Bradford and Saints, and then Leeds have done and what Wigan have maybe now started, it needs to be bottom up, IMO.

I don't think you lack ambition in the transfer market - I'm not even sure you lack success. It is a very competitive market is all.
