I presume he means Jordan Tansay, who played for Leeds.

A bit of a utility player, not what we need IMO.

From what I have seen his best position is LF, which we are quite strong in and our current coaching team like to play a prop there.

We would be better signing Tansey who is playing Fb for the Roosters at the moment, but Leeds have his registration and is contracted to them (think he is on loan to Sydney) so we would have to pay a fee if he comes back to SL.

Personally, I'd firstly like to see us sign a strong fullback, someone along the lines of Hunt or Bowden. I'd keep Tony on as a cover player for our injuries.

I'd also like to see us sign some younger players, ie teenage/early-twenties, who have potential and whom we can coach up.

I'd like to see us make a move for Karmichael Hunt tbh. Imo Tony isnt a specialist fullback and never will be, we should give him a new contract and use him as a utility player considering he can play so many different positions. We should certainly have money to spend despite the signings of Long and Fitzgibbon and Hunt is a quality 3/4 which is something we certainly lack. He's ooc (I think) and there arent many better fullback's around.

That'd be a great signing, but it's pretty much a 99% certainty that he won't get a visa. However, he is exactly the kind of player that we need.

I've been talking cricket with my cousin today, so I got the names the wrong way around.

[iWas at wedding on Sat and got talking to a senior member of the FC coaching staff. Just before the wedding service he showed me a text from Richard Agar saying that FC have completed a deal to sign Sean Long for next season. Apparently Saints only offered him a 1 year deal & Hull have offered 2 years on more money. Should be announced early next week. Caused a right buzz at the wedding amongst FC fans.

He reckoned that FC coaches are very disappointed with Thorman & that the hammering at Leeds finally made the board decide to get their hands in their pockets for next seson. He reckons there will be a big clearout for next seson.

FC are also very close to a deal for Andy Lynch of Bradford.

BTW Matt Orford will not be coming as he wants too much money [/i(£165,000 per season)

A big prop is a must, a centre and a fullback or SO depending on RH ??

Current rumours are pointing at FB and Prop.

An aussie FB and a british prop ???? If that were the case, wouldn't we be back to square one if/when Long picks up the odd injury and we go back to being a team without any direction at HB ???

We need a centre also IMO.

Not many other teams have a back up halfback, Rovers would be fooked without Dobson for example.

I am quite hopeful that one of young halfbacks might soon be ready to step up and play a few games in Sl in the next couple of years.

Personally I am quite happy with Briscoe at centre next season with Hall and Whiting as back up.
