The problem is that it seems unclear to what extent Arundel is injured. As far as I've seen the club have not actually confirmed whether or not he has a fracture/break, the only talk after the game was about a dislocation. If he's fit, I'd personally go with Arundel, but if his hand is no good then it's a choice between Whiting, Horne, or Crooks if he's passed fit. |

I saw him at HRI straight after the match on Friday and he believed it to be fractured, looking at how swollen and bruised it was it didn't look good, but he said he would have injections if it means he can play, he was just waiting for x-ray at the time! |

As long as he gets through contact training and ball handling ok, then jab him up and chuck him in (unless Crooks is starting). |

Just thought the same, dreadful luck that lad. Doesn't seem to be a common opinion on here but I rate him and think he and Crooks could be a long-term centre partnership for us. Has a few defensive lapses but really excellent footwork at times. |

I agree, I was just pointing out perhaps why people are more open to Crooks coming back in than Horne (at fullback). If Shaul had an injury doubt over him I'm pretty sure it would be a similar story, but seeing as he's (as far as we know) got a clean bill of health it's an entirely different situation. |

Crooks has trained this week. Did jumping and wrestling first think on Tuesday then joined in with the team on Tuesday. He has been icing the ankle every night too and will be fine for saturday

Even if we lined up with Briscoe-Yeaman-Whiting-Crookes (assuming there's no Crooks or Lineham as well as no Arundel) I'd be content. Whiting's defence will allay any worries over Crookes, and the pace of Crookes, Briscoe and Shaul backing up would allow us to break the line and clear the danger quickly.
Ideally though, one of Crooks/Lineham will figure. Both would be a godsend. |
