If we did sign a proper scrum half like Wallace or someone similar we're does that leave miller . Don't think he can play 6 , so to me seems pointless keeping him . I did get told miller wouldn't be here next season before the holdsworth story came out . Maybe we are after 2 new halfs again after all . contracts dont mean anything these days, you've only gotta claim to be home sick and your released as both
our teams have recently found out (Mickinon/Paterson) and you've just binned Paul Johnson half way through his so I think it's fair to say that they don't really mean anything.

Home sick is a euphimism for, I have fooked up here, this place is a hole and I am not man enough or professional enough to see out the contract I signed without having a loaded gun pointed at my head.

No it's rubbish, if you're contracted you can't just up and leave and the club can't just bin you unless they pay the contract off in full. Obviously if a player is genuinely home sick (or doesn't like the UK) then it's in the clubs interest to get rid.

Never understand when people say that, of course they mean something, why else did NZ Warriors pay a kings random for Tomkins? Surley they should have just said his contract meant nothing.

In certain cases, like Holdsworth were it is clearly in the interest of both the club and the player then a release will be granted, but it's usually a complicated process and needs full cooperation from both sides. Wallace has just signed a 3 year deal with the Panthers, and not played a game yet in this contract, the club will be wanting to build there whole team around him and Soward as there new playmakers. That's not forgetting that he's already played for that club before so will have friends and ties in the area, hardly likely to be homesick.
