Indeed, Royce would be the first to admit his shortcomings as coach when at FC, but he has learnt his trade and is now taking on one of the biggest jobs going.

You really are a halfwit! Royce inherited a bloody awful squad and worked his off to bring us Hasler and Doyle. Those signings alone turned what could have been an entirely painful time, into a really enjoyable time. He also used to come across to the 3d stand, talk to us and encourage us to sing, and hand out gear. We played some great rugby at times under Royce, and if he'd have had even a half decent squad to work with, he'd have been very successful.
