Seymour's defence was very good at the start of this season. It has not been to the same standard recently pretty much in line with most other players.

I agree, and I'd also add that he defends on the right, which means that early in the season he was defending out there with Martin, whereas now he's out there with Turner (or at times the empty space where Turner should be).

For what its worth i was talking to my next door neighbour tonight about last nights game and he told me that Broughs dad said that a 150,000 pound deal was offered to hudds for Brough with a 4 year deal 3 weeks ago. (Before everyone rips this to bits ) my neighbour is hull through and through and has no reason to lie or give me false hope

I wouldn't expect it to have been "Minimal". Although i am sure you wouldn't have to pay too much on top to get him now, Rather than next year. I would be disappointed if Cas didn't gain a fair fee for him.

Fwiw, If you manage to pull off a Brough and Chase partnership next year (Something Cas fans have been crying out for for ages), And you get them playing together. You will have easily the best partnership in the league.

The salary cap will be interesting though.
