What if at the start of the season he has (not for the first time) a large number of first team players unavailable?

Ive said earlier on the Smith issue that he has got rid of the bad apple and got the superior class in the wire squad to start playing.

Are we not trying to do the same now ?

on the Nathon Brown issue he was appointed before the end of last season so had all of the close season to mould his team (of which 11 where new signings which blows the not his team out the water IMO)

Also niether sides have had a major injury problem.

Yes there is but you just don’t take it in as you believe differently.

Many have talked about the rugby we played when agar took over the rains when Kear left, but you don’t even take this as evidence that he can get a team playing ?
The main argument is it was the team playing and nothing to do with Agar but when we say it’s the team not playing this year its Agars fault Mmm.

When Peter sharp came over he admitted that he changed very little as agar had and was doing a fantastic job.

But again you don’t take this into account you have your view and everyone else be damned.

We all blamed the atrocious injuries last year for our poor performances yet its been worse this year but again that’s Agars fault.

At the begining of the year we had our best ever start to a superleague with lets face it a poor squad and six injured and no Crocker but of course this was nothing to do with Agar it was the poor opposition.

I think it is you that cannot see the evidence right in front of you.

Just my opinion though and there will be another thread I am sure where you can inform everybody of your opinion that Agar is out of his depth.
Especially if too many start to disagree with you on this one.

....i think the team do have that..its maintaining it thats the problem.it cant be much fun getting battered all over the shop week in week out and then getting the crowd on your back is it any wonder heads go down..passion pride and effort will only get you so far.theres no substitute for quality..which sadly in our team we dont seem to have much of.but all that could change next season with the new people we have coming in i have faith in agar/sharp i just wish a few more people did instead of all this doom and gloom and lynch mob mentality.....

The thing with that is, the first game v Wigan I believe were also understrength, we won by 8, at full strength I don't believe we would beat them on their muck at this stage of the season.
v Celtic some on here said we was lucky to win, we won by 8.
v Catalan, who again were at under strength, we won by 14, again both teams at full strength I doubt if we can go there and win.
v huddersfield, we got a couple of very iffy calls, we just won by 4, last weeks result says it all.
v Bradford, just about everybody has beaten them this season, so no great thing there.

Our start , although pleasing to have the points on the board the performances weren't convincing. had we played like that throughout the season we would still have been where we are now.

So he has been the head coach for less time than Agar, plus Agar has been at the club for a few years now and should have known the bad apples here eg Thackray who he resigned for this season,

Most of the squad have played internationally, have been part of our recent successes or have played at the top level in the game for a number of years. Have they all become poor players at the same time or is there some other factor driving things?

The squad we have is certainly more talented than the one Brian Smith took to the top of the old 1st division

Unlike the snining light that is agar. It's easy to see that they grew up together and had the same influences

Surprised there were 11 new signings ay hudds. Who were they out of interest as most of the team seems the same as last season to me

Might i remind you we started the season without Raynor, Motu, Whiting and after only two games in we had lost washbrook and todd byrne thats not counting Crocker.
We also had an inferior squad to the season before.

most of those aren't first choice though, Korkidas came and then went also

he's still only made a handful of changes and got them from 3rd bottom to 3rd

some of that is bad luck, but some of it is just poor recruitment

Adam Dykes for example had barely played the year before, and if the HDM are to be believed we didn't even conduct a medical. We can't start whinging when the club are making such dreadful decisions as that.

I don't know about you, but I think 11 new players brought into a squad would entirely change it's make up, whether they end up regular 1st team players or not.

How do you figure that nonsense out???
If they're not in the first team not training with the first team how does that have an effect?

Of course it would make a difference bringing in 11 new players for Gods sake, being that they are different players. You are therefore creating a different dynamic into the squad.
The point being the argument that Nathan Brown improved the squad Jon Sharp left is not entirely true is it? He made quite a few signings.

Just to add I think he has done a marvellous job as Huddersfield, that cant be denied.

So we now know that Brown only started this season, he could only do so much last year while emplyed elsewere.
Where as Agar has been at the club for 4/5 years and should know the make up of the club and what it required from previous years eg a scrum half. He decided to sign Thackray and Thorman and let Godwin and Wheeldon go although not world beaters are certainly better than what we have now. Agar should have known the club inside out and what was required, Brown has come over after watching videos and telephone conversations and made our coaching set up look stupidly amatuer and lethargic, Agar is the head coach and has to take responsibility for this.

No they aren't.

The fact that the best we have had to offer in recent times has been Burrow, and the hype surrounding Myler and Eastmond etc shows that the British game has a problem with halfbacks in general rather then just Hull.
The above are really talented players but none of them would be considered as no 7s in the NRL in my opinion.

Take responsibility for having to play P Sharps Squad you seem to forget most of the players we have been stuck with where down to P Sharp not Agar also as soon as he can (contract permitting) he is getting rid also you seem to conveniently forget all the hassle Carvell caused us which meant not very many players being available as cash was tied up in his deal. We bought the best available at the time not necessarily the best out there.
But again lets not let that detract you from blaming Agar for it.

Also I would like to point out that I am unsure if Agar is the man for the job but I am not going to damn the bloke or be involved in another witch hunt for the wrong reasons.
