agree with you there Roofs, how people say Offiah was the best winger ever???? a great finisher, but his defence and catching the high ball was dire, Briscoe is a fantastic prospect and fully deserved his place in the squad, hope he makes the most of this oppotunity, and makes the spot his own, IMO (and this is not a dig at any KR fan) Tom is a better player than Fox, defence, speed, reading the play, all round better player, although Fox on his day is a good player, but on his current form (end of season) he shouldnt have been selected, this could knock his confidence completely!!!

I'm not one for trying to score points over each other, our player made the squad and yours didn't.

I wanted Briscoe ahead of Fox because I believe he is already better then him in the same vain I hoped t'other Briscoe would get full back spot ahead of Sykes, Wellens etc.

I don't care what club these players play for as long as they can spank the Aussies.

one of the few positives from tonights game, some bigger name players failed to produce yet again!! sinfield to name 1!

As we could all see some great improvement will be required from the team if they are to be anything like close to Australia and NZ.

First half was pants. Thought on paper England's forwards were going to be impressive and the backs would struggle, but IMO was a bit the other way around. If the forwards play like that we're going to be steamrollered.

Great to see Tom bag a try.

Worrying stuff from England in the first half though. If we start slowly against Australia we'll find ourselves 0-30 down at half time.

A poor start in any of the next two games will only end up in a defeat for England.

The French were the underdogs tonight and that enthusiasm made them compeitive for the first half.

I can't see England overcoming a ten point defecit against Australia.

To be honest I hope he gets dropped and replaced by fox. He doesn't need to be playing for an international side that will likely get humiliated next week at this stage of his career

england couldn't overcome a 20 point start.

im not usually one to slag off england (i went to watch the world cup thinking we could win it) but tonight was bloody embarrassing. france abysmal, i dont understand how england managed to be worse in the first half. also it was played in front of nobody despite people not been able to get tickets!

I thought he had a good game, was able to rely on his own judgement on every try apart from briscoes', knowing our lot they would have referred nearly all of them

And was correct every time. Even with the benefit of the telly I had to check the replays for a couple. Plus the game flowed yet was disciplined - stuck a cane in the ground with the first "on report" then rightly got rid on the next misdemeanor. Liked his insistence on the quick play the ball too - no slowing down of the game for him.

Did well, I thought.

Although he bagged another try I thought Tom had a quiet game tonight. Really needed to get involved a little more but seemed a bit too nervous.

Scott Moore I thought looked like a handful although he made some errors. Maybe a bit over enthusiastic at times but I think he's our 9 for Aussie.

Eastmond for me turned the game when he came on. Cracking little player thats surely earnt that number 1 shirt.

Shenton, S Briscoe & possibly Matty Smith to lose out on that performance.
