I really don't think your lot are in a position to judge. If and when Gleeson plays another rugby league game again you can rest assure that there won't be any Hull FC fans there to cheer him on and wish him well because he left without "saying goodbye" to the fans.

I agree that from 2007 onwards the club went from being a SL side with the potentially to permanenently break in to the top4, to an off-field soap opera.

Our signings for next season were affected by most of the signings being made by Agar/The old board before they left, and also the exchange rate/tax rules meaning big name stars aren't eager to come over.

cruicially however, some of our gamble/average signings for next season like Aspinwall and Martin are on 1 year deals.

I would expect Gentle to give the squad a major overhaul in 2013.

Next year I would be happy to see progress on the field, with more attractive rugby being played and the beleif back that 'on our day' we can beat a top side.

It's easy to say slimming pills aren't performance enhancing, but if there taken to lose weight to enhance your performance I'm guessing they can be afterall.

I can't wait for the season to start. 2012 is about re-establishing some pride back in the club and having a competitive year. We won't win anything but hopefully we will take our first steps towards success.

Thank God I am not a Sportsman I take Beta-blocker called Carvdilol If I didn't take it I could die ..I know a Snooker player took it and had to defend himself for taking it ..The drug slow the heart rate thus causing the heart to beat more calmly and lower blood pressure.. But not being a sportsman, I went to doctors a few years ago and he put me on Slimming Pills I was having trouble with my weight So it is easy to say it's only slimming pills..There help to control your weight ps for Karl yes I am still a fat

Couldn't give a stuff about the whole drugs affair to be honest. Does it look bad for our club? Only if those people in charge were still here. They're not, so it's only an issue to the uninformed and those that want to have a dig. If that bothers people, then that's their own separate issue.

As for it making the sport look bad, I disagree. I think it makes the sport look ruthless in its pursuit of cheats. RL is one of the most tested sports, which is why we find a lot of cheats. They're in every sport, but we go further to find them. How many "firsts" have their been in world sport for drug doping in UK RL?

Plus, it's got the sport and club in the news. Any publicity is good publicity they say

When I took them I was a bus driver plus I took the Company's Drug test and nothing show up and I told them what to look for

Yes Gleeson Maybe Should Of Double Checked but when your in a club, surely you must think there going to do everything for you to make sure nothing bad comes out of it.

2) Cooper did previously check (sort of) for Long
3) Rule is the biggest pillock out of all 3 for trying to mislead the testers. Gleeson/Cooper you can possibly put down to naievity/stupidity.

Didn't check properly then!! Surely the rfl will issue a list of all pills/substances allowed beforehand? Anything not on the list should be exempt,until all clubs are given notice.

The people concerned in running our great club into the ground recently have ALL now gone, there is a new dawn with a bright horizon so lets move on now and forget the wasters, losers and users that were involved and support the new regime who seem to me to have the fans as much in their hearts as making money and forget the past few nightmare years!!

Not how it works. WADA and other anti-doping agencies issue a list of banned substances and it's up to individual athletes to ensure that they don't take them. The stimulant in the supplement that Gleeson took is on the WADA banned list and it only took me a few minutes on their website to confirm that. Somehow Cooper failed to check properly and wrongly advised Long. Gleeson's mistake was not checking for himself.

WADA etc distribute to the relevant parties (UKAD & then in our case the RFL), at least once per year, including all revisions and updates.

I would presume each club will have a person responsible for obtaining this info and rolling it out.

I know players have to long onto the website regularly to inform the tester whereabouts they will be too, within an allocated 1 hour slot each day (ADAMS)

The big mix up was that Cooper checked on WADA but not on the Global DRO database although initially he claimed he had.

Its a pity he didn`t,he could have avoided all this hoo ha ,"just like that."

the pity is that we signed Long and subsequently Gleeson in the first place.

having said that, given what other players have been openly forgiven for by the RFL, diet pills are hardly a big deal.
