All players who could pop up in the right place or create something out of nothing

Our 13 is a channelled centre player though, well Fitzy does stray a bit more than Radders but you get my drift.

That was back in the day of the 5 yard rule , the 10 metre ruling has changed the game dramatically.

The day of the LF with guile has gone somewhat.

There seems to be a move by some clubs to get as many battering style forward players on the pitch as possible now.

I don't think he's had the right pre season to be moved into the pack, I'd like to see him bulk up a little.

I would like to see Whiting given a run there.

However I would have him at centre in front of Turner and Hall if we keep the same side as next year.

what really hacks me off is that we look alot more dangerous in attack when we have Washbrook at 13...and i doubt that would change if Whiting played there instead sometimes

IMO there should [uonly [/ube washbrook or whiting selected for 13. it's just a shame Agar wants a more boring brand of RL

besides, if whiting or washy played at 13 regularly then they would improve their game hell of alot over a season - we have only been allowed glimpses of the potential

I would buy, because Whiting is not a 13 (possibly the best utility player in SL) and Washy is simply not good enough...

I favour the extra forward, however only if we have 2 good pivots, the problem is we do not have 2 good pivot men.

...I only see 1 there who plays regular rugby and he is full-back...Granted Long is good when he plays, Horney is finished imo, a couple of good games upto now is not good enough at this level.

However if you believe we had 3 who are good enough and play regular rugby Agar is right to play 13 as an extra forward, unless you want a team full of pivots

Washy was discussed as a future GB 13 when he last had a full season there for FC.

i agree with that in the sense that if the pivots are working (and not out injured) then we have the ability to win games. however with a slightly injury-prone half-back combo then it is frustrating to think we could do better with Washy/Whiting at 13 to add a bit extra in attack

having said that, it's not good to change the dynamic of the team each week to compensate for injuries

i would be in favour of playing washy/whiting at 13 for 2011 and it also saves money and a quota spot

i remember - he had a very good season but had a few niggles to address which would no doubt be rectified with game time and a little more experience but IMO he still has that potential

I hope we can keep Fitz next year tbh.....

A lot depends on who we sign for me, it is paramount that we get settled h/backs, I would be tempted to move Tansey there and move Whiting to full-back..
I favour an extra forward at 13 so if Fitz did go I would buy, I am not impressed with Washy if I am honest

A possibility, however he didn't do any-thing special in the h/back roles, however he is settling nicely at centre, good tackler and strong offence...maybe in time with more experience.

or in the box....it's his 'natural' position IIRC

when he signed for us the debate was LF, stand-off or centre...i think he said his favourite was 6 or 13

Turner needs to show a lot more to get in the team, defence is poor at times and isnt doign enough in attack, next season he improves or is a squad player.

I do not think his defence is poor tbh...it is a massive improvement of Halll's

Slightly better but still not good enough IMO.


On this seasons form neither player should be in the 17 when all fit.

the thing is, even if Turner was showing some form; i'd find it hard to believe he is going to play at LF in this season or next. more like the centres and the slight possibility of a run at 6 or 7

some people on here seem dead cert that Agar will play his style of LF

Again I think he has had chances at 6 and failed to produce, i would use turner as a back up centre next season and play Whiting, Berrigan or a new signign there.

I never said that, I said his defence is better than Hall's but in all fairness so are all the 15s that we coach!!!

I think Turner is doing a decent job, however he still has development and hopefully with the experience he is gaining he will improve further

If Agar has solid creative h/backs then there is no reason why he should not play his style, extra forward imo.

Horne has had his chance and failed to produce for 2 seasons barring the odd game...
