To be fair, looking at the facts it looks a terrible signing, 4 years since he played at decent level, and that can be a long time, anyone who denies that is a bit of an idiot.

But he proved that we're was once some talent and ability there, if his heads sorted there is small possibility he could tear it up at SL level, for that alone if say he's worth a one year deal, if people moaned about Hutch Maiva, I'd say the harsh reality is he had more a chance here then Talanoa, for me though I'd sooner take a chance on a hundred kids like this rather then proven average players.

I would have stayed miles away from Joel Monaghan when he had his encounters with booze and a dog. And I would have been wrong to do so evidently by his ability.

I would like to think that Talanoa is in the same boat, were all quick to judge but he is big enough to get out on the field and prove his worth. We may even get away crowds singing 'my old mans a dustman' after all, most fans singing 'who let the dogs out' to Monaghan is no bigger compliment really, cause its usually sang when he upsets the opposition. Ie scoring a try.

That's pretty good. I guess it comes down to how well he does. I think my line about hat tricks is optimistic, especially if he plays outside of Yeaman, but I think we could use a little bit of optimism around here.

And if it doesn't work out then we can always dump him off onto Rovers. A dustman would be an improvement over the trash they've just signed.

In all fairness being a dustman is still 2 rungs further up the ladder than being a PNG international at the moment.
