| Allams cannot be trusted, ask the staff at Ruscadors and the contract negotiators from Hull Ionians, oh yer and the local coucillors regarding the sale of the KC Stadium. Period
If Ehab Allam was in the private sector, he would of been SACKED by now.

| Quote ="Hull White Star"FC Voices hand delivered a letter, the contents of which expressed concern regarding the memoribilia being removed, primarily in the front foyer. FC Voices, at this point, weren't aware of any "walls to let" scenario.
We received a very long letter from Mr Allam, one point of which said Hull FC have to pay for any wall space should they wish to display anything be it pictures, memoribilia, flags, club crests etc etc. At this point, FC Voices felt it was then a matter between the club and Mr Allam and it was left at that. We presumed the club hadn't paid the invoice as most of the pictures from around the foyer and corridors had disappeared, again a matter between the club and Mr Allam.
Friday just gone, an ex player was doing the stadium tour pre match and noticed the pictures of JW in the JW suite had been removed and it was made public.
At no point in Mr Allams very long letter did it indicate about JW or the removal of pictures from the JW Suite. If it had, I'm sure FC Voices would have seen fit to take the matter further, we presumed "the renting of wall space" was mostly in the foyer and around the corridors.
Not answering you directly Paul, just helping to explain FC Voices role and our interpretation.
'"
Pretty much what I thought, so at no point did AP order the JW picture to be taken down which is what has been implied. All discussions were around other memoribilia.
Thanks for clarifying

There is no disharmony, we are all FC fans and will continue to be so, however at the beginning of the week the FC fans wanted questions answered, that has not changed and we still want the pictures put back up, so far we have heard city's & smc side now we want to hear FC side, with the ultimate goal being the pictures put back in their rightful place.

Legally then Allam maybe in the right with this, because he could argue he said wall space in the stadium, we appear to have assumed it did not mean JW suite when in fact it did as Allam is now saying the bill for that must be paid.

| Can we all just rein it in a little. We have all voiced our concerns and there is nothing further we can do. Its now the responsibility of the club to make some sort of response. We certainly don't need the infighting which appears to be happening amongst our fans as this would be meat and drink to the Allams. Together we are strong, divided we will surely give encouragement to the SMC.

Is that really the case? If it is then it makes our £100,000 worth of "free" stewarding seem more than reasonable.
Everything was negotiated a long while ago. Hull's and City's financial bargaining points were very different then, but City (football) always had the potential for a huge increase in income compared to RL.
Hence, I believe, the (strange) variations in contracts. They were based on what both clubs could reasonably afford.

| The simple truth is, as enough people have said already, that irrespective of anything else the pictures of Johnny Whiteley were removed from the suite in the stadium named after him. This was an insulting move and should be reversed without any further cost. Any other discussion with regard to any other decoration should be between the SMC and Hull FC.
Now...... personally I wait with baited breath for some kind of official response from Hull FC to provide a balanced view of the story. Ehab Allam has thrown the gaunlet down and perhaps it should be picked up and perhaps returned. But maybe this isn't a fight that Hull FC, or Adam Pearson, wanted in the first place. Perhaps it's just the fight that they were waiting for. I don't even pretend to know.
I get the feeling that taking Johnnys pictures down may even have been a well considered and intentional slight to start a fight, maybe to force the Hull FC hand and force a payment for the decorations. Mostly because I find it so inconceivable that anyone could be unaware of why the pictures were there in the first place. But maybe that's just me being biased towards a club I have followed since the 70s.

Slightly harsh I think. If it is not a sport they follow why would they know about certain people from the sport? Do you know every legend of Hull City? (Probably aren't that many)

| Just an idea but couldn't fc rent some space at the kc and turn it into a bar and run it separate from the smc then use that as our own JW suite and solely have it as a fc bar and we can then fill it with as many pictures as we want, could also use it for party's and functions.
Please note I've got no business experience before people shoot me down I've no idea if it would be financially viable it's just an idea that popped into my head.

You do not need to follow RL to know who he is. If you read that rag HDM you will have seen him in there numerous times over dozen of years. If you have listened to radio blunderside at any point in your life then you would have probably heard him discussed. If you have any connection to any sport within the city, then you would have come across him at fund raisers, coaching, helping kids, clubs and numerous other good causes. Such as boxing, football, league, union etc etc etc. I do not buy into this 'who is he rubbish' they all spout

I do not watch football but I know who Barnby, Wagstaff and Windass are. As I said you do not need to watch a sport to have heard of people who have done positive things for this city. It is just another way to slight RL imo.

Well if the quote is wrong we'll get a two line apology as all memorabely only cost£500 .
The HullFC Premier Club blamming us for it .
The cost of Police and Stewards we only need the Police most trouble at KC been caused by stewards
As said before Allums said there fans pay £20 a week for one picture that is £1040 a year for one photo if said that to any one you'd say take them down not expecting the named suites photos to be removed
Also as stated before we had a little pull as we owned our ground and sold it below value to the council so we got in to the KC our friends had sh.t. all even considered playing on Boulevard as our tenants now that would of been a laugh.

| A few points ....
1) The very fact that Ehab Allam states in the HDM that things are probably irreconcilable between him and Hull FC strongly suggests to me that this was a primary aim of his. After all when you actually look at the situation there's been a fans' argument/representation about the specific removal of memorabilia relating to one of the club's, and one of the city's, sporting greats from the walls of a suite named in his honour. The simple thing to do would be to put them back up for nothing and cancel any other charges made in other suites for items specifically related to those. None of these specific charges will make a rat's ass difference to the SMC financial performance. Had Allam wanted to court some popularity/do the right thing it could all have been done last Monday. He doesn't want to do that and this is a deliberately engineered situation IMO. He's even managed to threaten the council along the way.
2) Hull FC doesn't need to comment about anything (even if it can). Neither does Hull FC need to pay for a service previously free - regardless of any other parts of Hull FC's contract which may or may not be beneficial to it. Paying for the JW pictures would be the thin end of the wedge and Hull FC know that. If Allam couldn't get us on that and/or the pitch usage he'd try something else. Hull FC should sit tight on their tenancy agreement and do nothing. That's what will help Allam the least. If we have to make do without JW pictures then so be it - maybe as someone said we could take our own paper versions to every home game.
3) Allam tries to divide and conquer here by airing some spin around the contract in the local rag. It's caught one or two in the net but generally I don't see fan against fan on here. As far as I know it wasn't compulsory for the Allams to buy the SMC so maybe it wasn't a great decision to do so, although at the time it was no doubt seen as a strategic move to help along the acquisition of the stadium. For sure it would be a lot worse for the SMC if Hull FC weren't tenants and didn't pay any rent - something that hasn't really been mentioned.
As far as I'm concerned the fans were right to vent their collective spleen about the JW pictures and Hull FC are right to say nowt. I think a much bigger factor over the next 2-3 years will be whether or not Hull City get promoted. If they do then the Allams may be around for a while but if they don't then who knows ?

I think that a bit unfair, especially towards young people who have never been around to see him coach or play. I know him because I follow FC, but when City1904 was on here the other day why would he know who he was? How many FC fans know all about Billy Bly or Raich Carter?

| Surely it isn't difficult to research who the guy whose name is on the suite door is of the building you're meant to be running? It's not like there's hundreds of named suites! It is either ignorance caused by heavy handedness to get over a point to FC, or intentionally provocative. What else could it be?
The fact they are trying to cover this up by saying the stadium is losing money and they need to generate new income is laughable. Firstly, charging for pictures is going to be a long way from making up the shortfall. It's just not going to make a difference other than p*ss off the other tenants. We're not going to pay for the pictures, end of. So what now are they going to do to make up the shortfall?
They're basically saying "well we can't get anyone else in, so we'll charge the current occupiers more." That is a terrible strategy.

| I hope Pearson did order the pictures to be taken down.
To be charged to display pictures is out of order.
Don't fall the Allam spin. Hull FC should not respond to this provocation.
Does Allam get a cut of the money from the Fez hats City fans were buying the other night ?
This is personal between Allam and Pearson.
As for the deal we have brilliant, tough luck Allam.
OLD FAITHFUL .... STICK TOGETHER !

Fair play the point stands though in that had he wanted to he could have reversed that trend in half an hour by waiving the fee for the JW pictures in the JW suite. Instead he tries to blame a fans' group for not telling him not to do something they didn't know he was going to do. If some Hull fans decide as a result to boycott the refreshment kiosks that will cost him more over a period.
