80 minutes on Saturday from Aydin, over 100 meters from 17 carries and nearly 40 tackles. He's proving to be a very good acquisition for us, I was quite underwhelmed with his signing but he's been fantastic since coming in.

Lots of empty seats in West and South stands, even where we sit in the East stand there were a few empty seats. I guessed 14,000.

Despite the defeat there was one thing that amused me on Saturday. When the game was won towards the end of the game the front of the east stand were given Hiku some stick. He responded by proudly pointing to and holding what he thought was the Rovers badge as a show of pride. Would have been a stirring gesture but he doesn't know he's left from right. He was pointing to kit manufacturers logo.

This incident had not been reported to the match officials. Without any substantiating evidence, the MRP determined that the available footage was insufficient to charge for any reckless/intentional contact.

I will admit that Grix has stopped the hammerings for now(next 2 games may change that mind) and fair play but still think he is out of his depth but my main gripe is his slagging players off in the paper,especially Balmforth,I would sooner him take him to one side and explain what he did was daft and work on it in training…not say he was dumb to the local rag for all to see.You see this tackle every game but other coaches don’t mention it.

He does show his inexperience at times but is only 38 with not a lot of head coaching experience. I suspect he has done better than a lot of inexperienced assistants would have in the circumstances

I don't know what to make of Grix to be honest. He's stopped us getting pumped by 40/50 points, but we still look poor most weeks.

Is he getting too much credit for us being slightly better than we were at the start of the season? Admittedly the squad has changed a fair bit and I doubt he has any say in the comings and goings

The Elliott incident involving the missing link was never reported by Elliott it was picked up by a Hull FF reporter and brought it into the public domain. Elliott was quoted as he was asked about it. The pictures are pretty damaging and there is zero doubt Fash is a dirty grub and was guilty on both counts. Only the green eyed Hull fans can’t see it.
