Can’t argue with that, just don’t understand stand what BH thoughts and process is regarding the bench selection for the last two weeks.
We have good fitness levels at present but having to soak up so much pressure and do so much defensive work will eventually empty the tank.

I suppose a positive is the fact we dig in and ground out the win despite our ill discipline and the conditions. Disappointed we didn’t have anyone putting kicks along the ground in those conditions when in the Leeds 10 & 20.

St’s will muller us if we have even 50% of the ill discipline we showed tonight, pleasing to hear that at least Griffin is aware of that fact. Need Reynolds to have more impact and influence in the game too. Big test coming up after a short turn round thankfully St’s had to travel back from France.

Who actually won this match tonight? I only got to see the last 10 minutes and the after match reaction on sky, but all I heard and saw in the analysis was Leeds, Leeds and more Leeds.

The disclipline at the end was shocking, Carlos and Faraimo heads totally gone after the Savelio incident, only interested in decapitating Leeds. Charging in looking for the big hit no positioning at all, lucky we got a way with it. That's where you need your captain having a word. Just have to be a lot more smarter , lucky Leeds are terrible in attack.

Don't get me wrong we showed some dogged defence but some dumb moments to put us under ridiculous pressure to have to make that defence, it's all so avoidable.

Thought Sneyds kicking was better, thought Connor was sublime first half, but we just couldn't build a platform for him second half. I'm not impressed with Manu Mau at all another game with some bad decisions , throwing bad passes or offloads putting us under pressure.

Satae and Sao great again. Trojans. Bowden back should help Friday has to replace Fash.

Omg just watched the game now.

What an absolute frustrating victory that was.

We did our best to give the game away and lose that.

Discipline was awful but thankfully our defence remained resolute.

Jeez that was the ugliest of ugliest wins, we did our best to to lose that with some terrible ball retention but will take that at the end of the day.

if you consider the amount of penalties we gave away,the amount of repeat sets,and the number of times we dropped the ball as whining then you are nit picking when there are several other posters on here saying exactly the same thing.
Do you agree with the coach and his bench decisions for the last two games which include a hardly used replacement 9 and wing/centre which doesnt improve any part of our game ?

Maybe he has to go with whoever is available due to reasons beyond his control.

Dont get me wrong i love it when we win but its so frustrating that our discipline is getting worse as it puts so much unnecessary pressure
on our defence and with such a skinny squad it will start to take its toll on some of the players.

Defensive effort to savour wasn't it? Good to hear the praise of the pundits too for our resilience. Just 2 losses so far to Wigan (top and unbeaten in the league and obviously knocked out of the cup by ourselves) and Catalans (joint 2nd). CC semi finalists and elite academy status secured. Can't really complain thus far.

It seems that the mods won’t let me tell you exactly how wrong I think you are.

I tend to watch the game as a Hull FC SUPPORTER. I don’t listen to bias Sky commentators saying how excellent the opposition are and disregard FC’s, once again, outstanding defence. For those who didn’t realise, it was ing down for most of that game and handling errors for both teams were crucial. Add into the mix some critical errors by officials and I think FC won? Oh and by the way Hull kept the South Stand quiet for long periods of that game, which speaks volumes to me. That’s just my opinion on a forum. Some of the posters on here, need to get over themselves or better still try coaching

For me great teams all start with top class defence heart, togetherness and passion. The fancy stuff on attack follows and we saw enough from our three tries this evening to indicate that on harder dryer grounds we will get a few tries as well. But after two or three years when all we wanted to see was the spirit and wanting back and for us to look like team that wants to play together. Just enjoy the win for heavens sake and the passion and pride we showed. We just witnessed one of the best defensive Fc displays we have seen for many a year. Yeh there is our discipline and ball retention to sort but it was battling win and we should be proud. The 'script' is now probably a gallant defeat on Friday but the Semi Final could then be a completely different matter!

Can’t fault the heart and resilience. They keep turning up for each other that’s for sure.

Fascinated to see whether we go all out on Friday or rest a few to prioritise the cup.

Not sure whether my primary emotion after that is pride in our guts and determination. Or frustration from our ridiculous ball retention and indiscipline.

Either way I think we should forget about that second half very quickly and move on to next week!
