My thoughts are if we are seriously looking at Lineham long term then I don't see Talanoa staying tbh. Reckon he'll go to free up a quota spot for another position.

From what I understood regarding the reason Lineham left at the time was due to a couple of things 1) He couldn't stop clowning around during training and be more professional at the time (immaturity) and 2) Warrington came in with serious money that ateotd was too good to turn down.

Think Lineham has ability and suits the style/mould of player Radford likes on the wing so if he has matured and now takes his game seriously then it wouldn't be too bad a signing to be honest.

Maybe Talanoas offer has been taken away to bring Lineham in ?

Got to be careful that we don't upset the more professional culture the club has gained though. Getting the 'old gang' back together from the years where we under performed isn't always a good idea. Also worth noting Warrington kept loaning him out due to his weight and off field issues when he joined them, tho he does seem to have now settled in to a regular first team place and looks fitter.

Kenny Edwards has gone to Catalans. Hull KR and Salford were in for him too but missed out. Good player, but with Rovers' "best ever culture" I'm a bit surprised they considered he'd be a good fit.

Yes if you are signing someone who is new to the sport or who hasn't played the sport for 5 years you get some of the salary off the cap. Can't remember if it's 50% or 25%. Think the 50% might just be for total newcomers.

This could be interesting, John Sutton Rabbitohs legend is out of contact next season and now wants to play on in 2019. as the article says it is unlikely he will ever play for a rival club against the bunnies, unless he signs for souths again, could he be up for a couple of years in superleague and maybe replace mini or manu should they leave. great player and currently playing some good stuff.
