He's the sort of player who has always kicked out when trying to make a quick play the ball, and defenders inevitably hang on to prevent a boot in the face.

No, it stops the playing kicking out. If you watched any games you'd see that it happens all the time.
Release the player when it's safe to do so.
Some players kick out on nearly every tackle, but rarely get penalised.

If it had of been McGuire I'd have said the same thing, not deliberate but reckless.

Lost the game in the first half by dropping the ball virtually every time we entered their 30m area. Couldn't build any pressure as a result. Would have to fancy our chances next week if we can play back at our best level - something that we haven't done for 2 weeks now.

I see the radford knockers have come out of hiding now we have lost the last two games albeit against two sides who don't lose many at home.Its not the end of the world ,the effort was there but errors cost us dear ,young Naughton made a couple but he will learn from this game and will become a better player for it. The Sneyd incident will see him get a ban although I doubt if he intended to cause harm but he did ,it was reckless and on that score he will cop a good ban.Many will disagree but Harry Tyson should be given a shot its no good putting others in a position they are not used to his is a natural he will cause leeds problems.Though the idiot Hicks was not the main reason we lost its shocking to see a ref make all his decisions on what the south stand at Leeds called for.He is a absolute clown ,no bottle ,no idea and is a disgrace

as for sneyd i'm sure it wasn't intentional however it was reckless and it shouldn't have happened. mcgires got a badly broken ankle and his season is done. at his age you wonder what he has left in the tank too. sneys should get a long ban but I won't hold my breath

I'm pretty convinced on that evidence that Sneyd was intending to hold Maguire down rather than injure him. If anything it's the movement of Maguire that causes the twisting whilst Sneyd has his weight on the leg. Unfortunate accident but will probably result in a short ban.

Purely accidental injury outcome but Sneyd will no doubt get hammered by the panel.

And so he should. Just seen highlights on sky and there was no need to roll him like that accidental or not. If McGuire has broken his ankle I wouls suspect a lengthy ban. Bias aside if a hull player was on the receiving end the vast majority if you would be out with a hunting party.
