| Quote ="Lang Park"Ha, I'm not wading into the crossfire here. I think my point is valid though, regardless of the state of the finances. Hull FC need someone to lead the "directors". They just aren't cut out to run the club, regardless of how much confidence AP has in them. Also as I mentioned earlier, where's the FD? We don't have anyone to manage the finances of the club, ragrdless of how healthy they are.'"
Fully agree, it's a bonkers allocation of resources.

| I dont consider myself either a doom and gloom merchant or a cheerleader and this is my take on things:
I'm sure gates are well below what AP budgeted for and it will be hurting him financially.
The reason gates are down is because of the quality of rugby on offer. Customers are no longer willing to pay to watch an inferior product.
Can AP cut costs without further adversely affecting the quality of the product, which selling top players would undoubtedly do?
Its no good telling people they need to turn up and pay out because the patience of the walk ups has largely been exhausted. Its pretty much only passholders who are attending nowadays.
Can costs be cut without affecting the playing or coach side? I don't know.
I do know that the only way to improve the top line is to improve the product on the pitch.
I suspect AP is hanging on till the Sky money in September. I dont think he ever had the money to bankroll the club and thought it would always wipe its own face and ideally generate a profit for him. I'm sure he's disappointed by how things have turned out and where the club finds itself now. Some of this is his fault although I doubt he would admit it.
I certainly wouldn't want to go back to the days of Kath & Co and we can only hope he really is in it for the long haul and doesn't lose interest.

| The off field operation certainly does look a bit thin, and in need of support.
I'll be surprised if there isn't some kind of appointment made to bulk it up a bit.
Falling attendances will hit finances, but to be fair the fans have been very loyal over the last few years. AP has been great news for us in the main, but the bad advice he received at the beginning of his tenure certainly knocked us back.
Warrington, despite all their recent success, regularly hover at 9K. Wigan often dip to lower 10K. We haven't had anything like their success yet our crowds compare favourably. The fans have done their bit, but patience is wearing thin, which is why AP really needs to make the right decisions.
Like another poster alluded to, I wouldn't be surprised if the group AP was involved with didnt renew a bid for LUFC.

| Quote ="Bombed Out"Why would you hear from these people as you call them if things are going well?
It obviously means they are happy and have no need to vent their anger or frustration so the point you make is meaningless and another pathetic attempt at one upmanship.
Yes people like yourselves hokey,Mrs barista will go regardless as is your prerogative and you shouldn't be knocked for that but unfortunately some of these IAKOW true fans as you refer to yourselves as do not extend the same courtesy.
I am one of these people you refer too.
I rarely usually post but due to the plight we find ourselves on and off the field with a coach I personally want to see the back of sooner rather then later as he has ruined my enjoyment and love for this club I do post.
When things are going well I simply attend games and make the odd post here and there as I'm generally happy.
The last time I posted as often as this is when agar was at the helm.
I have no issue with Pearson being at Leeds as I don't believe financially he would ignore his financial investment here he will also be generating further income for himself.
This endless discussion of our presumed cash flow is so pointless and frankly boring yet people still discuss it like they're experts.
Time to move on I think and stop fretting.
What will be will be and as long as we have a hull FC I'll support them whichever league We play in as long as Radford isn't in charge obviously
'"
Firstly where have I referred to myself as an IAKOW fan. I have been supporting the club since the 1940's so I think I can regard myself as a committed fan. As you say you rarely post so I am obviously not referring to you but to those who constantly moan about everything connected to the club be it Adam Pearson, Lee Radford or anyone else. Should you care to look back through my posts you will find that I have also complained about certain aspects but it is the constant negativity of the people I referred that is wearing. We all want what is best for the club but nothing that is said on here will have any bearing on the decisions that are made by those in charge.
I'm glad to see that you will continue to support the team and like you I wasn't happy with LR's appointment but there's nothing we can do about it and at present we seem to be improving, so lets just hope it continues.

Looks like the hiring of a new CEO has been shelved if APs comments in today's HDM are anything to go by.
Sarah Mcallister has been given the job. No doubt the catering will be fantastic, bit worried about the cashflow, sponsorship, contracts, and corporate governance though. m.hulldailymail.co.uk/Adam-Pears ... story.html

| Lets see what happens, off the field is not my major concern it is on the pitch were our major problems are, hopefully we are heading in the right direction, the next few games will tell us that IMO.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"You've mentioned these errors of judgement before. But we are where we are which is skint, according to Seb. If there's no cash, there's no cash. I have absolutely no doubt that we need a CEO. But if there's no cash, there's no cash. To generate cash, either the stayaway fans come back and fund a better future for the club or we sell our assets. Where is the cash coming from to pay off Radford today if we are skint? You seem totally unable to answer a basic question. You're deluded if you think on dwindling gates and a progressively more challenging rental arrangement that AP will suddenly pay Radford off, upgrade the coaching staff and fetch in a CEO. Totally unrealistic.'"
I think the point is the CLUB is skint, and AFP is not putting anymore money in.
When we had Uncle Kath the club had income of £5mill pa, the club should be able to run on that. Income will have dropped now, which means AFP may have to chuck money in, indeed he has for Manu, Miller, Arundel and the many many others hes paid off.
Perhaps he just doesnt want to chuck anymore money into the black hole.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"You seem to have lost the plot.
You've scaremongered about our cashflow plight. If we accept we're up the creek financially, and there is no cash, surely there are two options to resolve it. Fans backing the club financially or the owner selling the club's assets (Lineham, Houghton, Westerman). What is your financial alternative given the cash flow crisis you describe. Clue: we can't pay off Radford because, as you say, there's no cash. In your own time.
I'm not that happy, although I had a fantastic afternoon at Warrington and. 5 from 6 is certainly an improving trend. But if we do a Bradford and get pulled into a financial doom loop, my conscience that I did what I could will be reasonably clear. Plus I'll still go anyway. IAKOW. Every club and set of fans wants success, we're not special.'"
Indeed we will still go, but if you think that selling the family silver is an option for the club to take then welcome back to 1992 (do i need to remind you we sold the GB front row and went from third to second bottom)

You don't and it's not my preferred option of course. But if fans choose to deprive the club of funds needed to survive at this level because we're not playing top 4 champagne rugby, then that's the financial reality. We are where we are, which you say is skint. Generate more funds when fans are staying away = selling what you have and entering a doom loop.

You've no need to preach to me, i go and always will, blindly pouring thousdans more into the club.
I know what you mean, and think all the "familiy" here do.
Its those not on here who dont go who need something to ignite a passion and desire to go.
Sadly Ears doesnt, and from an outsider (those not following all that is churned out by the club) the view that AFP has gone to work for Leeds doesnt inspire either.
So we have another couple of options, you could become chief marketing officer or AFP could get lots of body art done including a facial tattoo of "We all 8 Leeds, I'm Hull FC for life"

I posted a few weeks ago when AP landed the Sheffield Wednesday job that the club should look to employing a CEO and with the Leeds United being full time ( and his in his preferred profession) I would have thought a RL CEO would have been a big priority. If the rumour is right about finances then it is understandable AP has promoted from within but IMO it's not ideal.
If the rumours about Koucash being involved were from a credible source, rather than social media then I am sure the local (and national) press would have picked up on it by now. And if it was AA then I reckon hull fans would have a genuine cause to worry.
Like another poster pointed out there is a definite shortage of prospective buyers queuing up to buy Super League clubs so any fan wishing AP to move on should think again, otherwise it could be Gateshead mark 2.
