Have Hull stayed still and Salford improved

I keep saying we are a work in progress. We have only played 3 games and we should never have lost against Salford. They played better rugby but we always looked in control and a few silly errors ending up costing us. We need to get our attack firing as we are still hit and miss. I don't like the drop off plays but Gentle obviously does. We defended well condsidering the amount we had to do but the penalties are hurting us and need cutting out.

Frustrating to lose that game on Friday but no need to panic, it was always gonna take time.

It will take time Paul, your'e right but the time that is required IMO, is the time that it will take to get rid of players that are not good enough and to replace them with the quality players that we sadly lack.

I agree and think 2013 will be a better option for us to really challenge,we will have a fair few OOC and will be the ideal time to replace with quality.

Yep couldn't agree more but I'm not sure who is OOC at the end of this season?

Martin, Aspinwall, Sharp, Burnett...I can't think of any more OOC players that I would want rid of.

Are Turner and Horne OOC?

Turner is but Horne isnt....agree on yours to get rid of along with Turner.Re-sign Manu,Whiting and Moa.

Just noticed that Turner is OOC but unfortunately Horne isn't.

Whiting, Manu, O'Meley and Moa are also OOC so there is some work required to tie up some quality as well.

I thought Moa was only prepared to commit to 1 yr talked about going home ?....would love to resign him though and Manu must be signed! and Whiting.

Aye remember that now....so we could be looking at signing 2 props.For me,Manu is the important one.

Kinda but Aspinwall is a few years younger and far more athletic. I was pretty sceptical of his signing but his performances have been really impressive so far.

Just noticed that was the f/time score I thought they ko same time as the dobbins and it was h/time.

if he is the only 'squad player' type forward in the squad, then I agree he has done well so far and would deserve a new deal. The trouble is that Hull over the last few years have filled the squad with 'squad players' and this reduces our chances of getting someone quality in.

For next year the focus must be on a new quality forward (or 2/3 if Moa and O'Meley also leave) a new right centre and wing, and a new stand-off (unless Nicklas and Ellis impress)

Totally agree there is no point in us keeping Aspinwall, Burnett, Whiting and Turner if they all view their futures at backrow.

As you say our main recuitment has to be at right centre, another frontline prop, squad prop and the retention of Manu.

What centres may be available and a viable soloution....wasnt it mentioned that we was looking at a out-side back when the 4-nations was on.
