amazing, we have a good win , the lads played well against what was in front of them and positivity is still a big issue for some, truly amazing

It's called being a realist when we play a top team I'll give credit but not against them

so we win and they get no credit for playing whats in front of them and outplaying them in all depts

Ill put my view across

yes we played a very weak and poor donny team but credit must go to the guys out on the pitch who did very well and beat what was in front of them,the youngsters were given a run out and did there confidence no harm what so ever,the experiance of playing with seasoned proffesionals will do them no harm at all,just to add whiting was very good today and proved his worth in the team.

im certainly not getting carried away as its only a friendly and we have a long way to go but give credit were its due.

well done hull on a good win also big raps to the fans who turned out today.

so you bought a ticket, then you went to a match expecting to win before you arrived and win big which is what we did and thats still not good enough for you??? what could they have done then that could have possibly got you even a little bit proud of your team you proport to support today....

The term credit where it is due is simply lost on some other posters isnt it, to actually congratulate effort or gush about individuals is deemed by some like were discussing the antichrist and downright unpatriotic . why cant some just say well done keep it up..

I said the lads did alright and what was asked of them , but your earlier post was talking like we have done something special and the squad is fantastic , the is so many flaws to our squad it is unreal , I said I will give credit when it's due when we do well in the league not against a poor team , I didn't knock the young lads I said they did what they had to but wait till they do it on the big stage that's when you can judge them

so many ifs and buts but as such no one has a crystal ball so we can only hope for the best like all the other teams in SL
HOWEVER as today was our first outing and you can only play what the club places in front of you mate, they did that today and looked top drawer, end of!! be pleased for them it shows we have a bright future too

As well as the likes of Moa and Whiting played I struggle to heap praise on them due to lack of quality in the Donny side. Afaik this game was all about the juniors, all of which brought something to the table IMO. Green looked promising and Williams caused problems. Lynn and Briscoe both looked every bit Superleague quality wingers and I thought Liam Cunningham looked the part too. Nicklas started off well with ball in hand but when he came back in he was a little quieter. For someone his age and size though he certainly knows how to put his shoulder in.

EXACTLY the same situation all SL clubs are in right now,
we beat what was in front of us today and did it well just be happy !!

When we played them in 2008 we beat them convincingly, and a certain Mr Washbrook was the stand out performer at half back. Not really gone well since them for him or the team has it.
You cannot really take much from todays game apart from a couple of positives from the youngsters.

But ours are big if's especially on horney and longy . Got no doubt westerman will do ok but where we go IF horney and longy get injured and houghton

Didn't go today but very glad to hear this. Wasn't impressed with him at 6 last season but thought he did pretty well at centre. If he's distributing the ball with some authority that's great news for the team.

Donny were a much different proposition to Cas and Rovers, obviously, but as it stands I'd go Turner/Long at 6/7 in Cardiff, Fitz at prop, back row Manu/Tickle/Westerman, Lauaki off the bench.

That's a pretty strong line up would be happy going in with that.
