You seem to be confusing the RFL with the Courts. The RFL ruling would have zero effect on the outcome of a court case using employment law.

Which is all beside the point anyway, as FC have never threatened legal action against Rovers - just Crooke.

I can't help thinking about our merger. (Yes Rovers trolls, merger. You've had one too so don't start). They would have gladly seen us go under and clearly demonstrated that at the time.
