Our current community develvopment team do an excellent job, I dont think he is needed at Hull.

It looks like we do need an under 18's coach though, I just hope it isnt him.

What we definatelu shouldn' do is find a place for his out of some sense of mis-placed loyalty for his playing career.

I bet Hull make Lee Crooks an assistant to Andy Last and youth talent scout. He is an Ull lad and knows all the local amature RL teams and coaches. Youth development or similar is my guess.

If nothing else maybe he could show our front rowers how to break a tackle and offload the ball, I recall he was rather good a both.

from what i've been hearing Rovers cited a club for an illegal approach to Crooks before allowing him to leave. Could be an interesting twist to this one !

You can do that with players, not backroom staff.

I thought a contract was legal and binding for players and staff alike. I maybe wrong but i'm sure we have some legal boffins who can elaborate on this.

HULL legend Lee Crooks has joined Super League rivals Hull KR as assistant coach. The former Great Britain forward, 44, agreed a three-year deal to work with boss Justin Morgan at Craven Park. Hull-born Crooks — who also played for Castleford and Leeds — has spent the last six years working for the RFL on coaching and talent identification. He will also coach Hull KR’s academy squad.
Aussie Morgan said: “Lee is a coach with vast amounts of experience and is a welcome addition to the team for next season.”
