We only saw him do that once (and on the second tackle!), though. His only mistake in an excellent performance from him. Very encouraged by Phelps last night.

Another good effort this afternoon. Wind was blustery and swirling and he had a lot of high bombs to defuse which he did well.

Has Phelps dropped a high ball since he came? So solid under the bombs and his kick returns are good. Good support play from him too, if he had a touch more pace I think he could be one of the best in the league.

Wigan? I wasn't there so won't have seen it. Anyway, the point is that I've never felt confident with high kicks watching FC for years, with Phelps that's one worry I no longer have.

Now if he can teach some of that to Sharp then we'll be laughing!

he wasn't on top form today, but remember, I am one of the few that thinkis Fitz isnt the demi-god that some think,

we won, played poorly in patches.

Fitz is not the player he was...however I fail to see another player in SL with his work ethic, the guy gives 100% every game which is reflected in his game and stats..he is also a leader and does a lot of talking to the lads on the pitch, he leads by example...I am proud and feel honoured he wore our colours for the last 2 season..I have nothing but respect for such a player for me he is not a demi god...just a god!.

Problem is with those stats is does it also show the tackles he didnt get to but should get to ??

Some people seem to want a different fullback next year,but personally think Phelps is doing good,deserves another year at least.He's at the right age,settling in well,improving week by week,and i imagine won't be on a huge salary,compared to what some NRL fullbacks will want.Concentrate our salary cap on halfback positions.

Still a bit early for me, but only in the context of quota. Still not sure what's going on with O'Meley, Moa, Lauaki etc. I'd hope we'd get something a week on Monday on re-signings, either as a momentum thing after beating Hudds (unlikely) or a timely derby boost.
