Indeed. I'd agree that they had a lot of young players out there but I'm not sure who else they could have fielded in their squad (other than the afore mentioned absentees) given that they don't seem to have too much beyond their starting 17.

A good hit out for teams IMO. So refreshing to see us with an out and out scrum half, god it makes a difference and let’s not forget, that was Longs first game! Fitz was exactly what I expected, huge in defence and attack. Turner looked strong at centre and Whiting looked like he wanted to prove a point. Radford ran hard and will probably benefit from not being the on field captain. I thought Rovers did well, especially some of their youngsters.

Downside, O’Meley and Lauaki will probably cost us the fair play award, but I’ll get over it!

to play at sheffield next sunday i would expect, with only two friendlies arranged it doesn't take a genious to work out agar would want to give as much game time to his main squad against the dobbins

You have Bradford to play also and so have another run out against SL opposition. This was our teams only run out against such opposition and so obviously the team was going to be mainly first teamers.
Although saying that next week may be a tougher game !!
