My opinion wasn't based on one match, aside from a decent win against a mediocre Bradford and a decent 2nd half at Saints we've shown nothing so far this season.

In my opinion, last night was only the first really poor result of the year (losing to Leeds and Warrington is hardly an embarassment) and it's one we had last year yet we still managed sixth.

people say that we played OK against Leeds and warrington so its an improvement but no its not enough. against both them two we where just holding on until they broke us down we did not create a chance to win the game we put them under no pressure what so ever that is not challenging! that is just going out to lose imo they need to be quicker and a lot stronger and put teams under pressure and play to the game plan if they have one because in all the games so far it looks like we are trying to score off every play instead of building up and executing when they get the chance they lot like headless chickens in attack

We need a good scrum half to be playing - someone with authority and rugby intelligence. Warrington and Widnes games we didn't have one. Huddersfield have lost theirs today and are getting beaten at home.

No probably wont mate and our season depends on the fitness of Holdsworth to a great degree. The failure to get the targets in the close season will be expensive every time Holdsworth doesn't play.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'd quite happily swap Briscoe's reported massive contract offer for a massive contract offer for a no7. No point having a quality winger if your passing and kicking game is a shambles.

Use Briscoes wages to get a 7 and upgrade Linehams contract as this kid will be as good as Briscoe and could go on to be better.

Use Seymour's wages to get a 7.

Got to get shut 1st and seeing as he has played this season,his salary counts towards cap.

I'd rather we kept our best players and got rid of the e ones (especially the high earning ones). That's how you build a winning team imo. Not continually losing the better ones and replacing them with lesser individuals. There's plenty of room for Briscoe/Lineham and a quality scrum half if someone does their job properly.

Problem is we only have 1 creative/organising player, no real strike players and only 1 winger who is really capable of creating something out of nothing. The whole squad is bang average

I agree with the general thrust of your point, but I think we have two wingers who can create something from nothing. I also think McDonnell could be a useful strike player if we sort out the problems in the middle.

A top class 7, centre and prop would make a big difference to our side.

The reality is, we must go all out for a 7. If I was Pearson I would be doing it now for next season. Maybe he is, lets hope so.

Agreed, it's just seems to be a huge problem finding that elusive number seven.

Getting a "no" from Prince plus Lopini Paea turning us down were massive blows to our top four aims this season.
