Why should fans stay away from a club some have supported for 20 plus years? the bottom line is we have a coach who is under-performing and the majority of the fans are unhappy with the situation,this does not mean we should give up with our beloved team. The bottom line is this club needs its fans to exist, if there was only a few 1000s it would not attract the sponsorship it does or sell the passes and the merchandise in the numbers it does, the last thing the club want is for fans to stay away. We pays our money and have every right to voice our concerns in whatever way we feel is appropriate when we feel the board have it wrong, the results and our position in the league provide the evidence that on this occasion they have do indeed have it wrong.

It was sad to see fans arguing amongst themselves on Sunday and I'm afraid it proves just how far the club has fallen from grace in the past three or four years. I also think that if people want to protest then that is up to them. I personally think we need a change but probably wouldn't go down the route of wearing an 'Agar Out' t-shirt or creating a banner with that message on. However, that's not to say that it's my place to criticise anyone who does go down that route.

I've always said that we have an element of fan snobbery at this club. If you dare to criticise your somehow made out to be less of a fan and that's something the club is relying on at the moment. I did find it ironic that the same fans arguing with these 2 protesters and singing "loyal supporters" were screaming at the Hull players 5 minutes earlier for being "rubbish" and shouting at Long to "do something".

The club apologists (I think we all know who I mean) shouldn't confuse fans getting behind the team during the game with support for Agar etc. Just because I want him out doesn't mean I won't be cheering my team on but I'm cheering the team and players, not his ability as a coach.

No offence intended, but I think that's slightly paranoid TBH. Things are rather overheated on here ATM for understandable reasons, but I don't think that [imeasured[/i criticism has been frowned on in the past.

I wasn't just talking about this message board. I've been to most of the fans forums and on the rare occassion someone asks a difficult question or says something a bit negative you get a lot of mumbling and tuts from the fans and giving the person the evil eye etc. I agree that generally on here it's more tolerant but some posters have been abused in the past for having a negative opinion.

well i have read some of the posts on here i think we have got split differences on our own supporters, but when it comes down to it if you and pay your money your entitled to your say regardless if its right or wrong everyone has a different opinion, mine is i want hull to be challenging for silverware and be playing enjoyable and exciting rugby right or wrong that is how i feel

I don't think anyone doesn't want that, what the division is concerns wether it's remotely likely with the way things are set up at the moment.

well i dont think it will happen with how things are set up but keep buying passes and shirts etc every year going home and away like most supporters i think your allowed to have your opinion regardless being positive or negative towards the club.

But you can't deny that this also happens the other way.
I don't think that Agar is the right man for the job, but because i don't rip into the club for the tiniest thing I get called an apologist, sycophant etc.

I'm loyal. I have written 'Harlequins Rugby League Football Club' on my willie.

I wouldn't deny that it works both ways in terms of name calling etc but it's usually the "club apologists" that tend to be the snobby type fans who think they are better than other fans. I've never booed at a game, I've never left early etc etc but that doesn't make me better than any other fan, just different.

I don't agree, I think there's people on both sides of the argument that look down their noses at the others, and think they know best.

I'm not sure thinking you know best and thinking your a better fan are the same thing.

People wanting the team to lose "for the good of the club" are basically claiming they're more of a fan, just as much as the people who claim these people aren't "true fans". IMO.
