I went to the Penrith match against St George last night. Sika Manu had an absolute shocker- the worst I have seen him play! Some Penrith fans were scathing in their criticism particularly on their fan forum. After a match performance rating of 2/10 one fan posted as below.

" Sika should have a negative score. We literally would have been better off playing with 12. His ' contributions' kept pressure on us and made sure Dragons stayed in the game. Penalties/errors galore. Worst performance in the past few years by any Panthers player easily."

In his defense he did make nearly 30 tackles and the Penrith season is over except to try to avoid coming last.

Freddie apart from last nights performance overall how do you rate him and do you think he'll be a good signing?

Same question for the other acquisitions.

Watching the Roosters tonight and you can't help but notice how their hooker Jake Friend totally runs the show,passing left and right and switching play all the time,oh and a brilliant kicking game.Saw Michael Ennis do the same thing in an earlier match,don't think we have anybody in Super League who can match up to some of the NRL hookers.

Swain was the same for us. I've said many times that not replacing him properly is what has really hamstrung us since 2007 far more than losing cooke. We've gone through multiple halfs in those intervening years but houghton has been our hooker for most of that time. All of the halfs can't have been bad

The same can be said for Josh Hodgeson for the Raiders. He's improved beyond belief Inthink he could be pushing Roby for England shirt.

Josh Hodgson has gone on to another level,left Roby,Houghton and co well behind.You can have the best half backs in the world but without the hooker dictating the speed and direction of the play the ball your attack slows down.And as for the speed of the play the ball,we are pedestrian compared to the Aussie teams.

We're pedestrian because the rfl/referees allow all of the messing about whereas the aussies don't. It's making the game boring to watch and needs addressing

Pritchard playing a bit busted. Hurt his knee in a game other week. Since then been well strapped. Playing with injections in ribs as well. That said still been great and doing big mins

Another 80. Scored what turned out to be the decisive try. Cleaned up another late on and it was a very fast paced game.
Rotating with mini n manu I expect so think he'll play about 60 mins most weeks which means he'll be fresher still.
Like the way he goes to the outside and brings Morris back inside against a fractured defence. Against lesser defences of SL Fonua doing the same could be devastating

Thought he had a very decent game.

Most of the games this weekend have been terrific when you compare it to that tripe at Wembley yesterday.
Looks like Leeds will be taking a trip over there early next year.

When was the last all queensland final? Think there's no stopping the Broncos this year.

Never been one, Broncos have played and won 6 and North Queensland Cowboys lost to West Tigers in 2005.

Gold Coast Titans, South Queensland Crushers and Gold Coast Chargers never got to one.

I never thought Brisbane would be anywhere near the top after watching them at Wigan in the WCC, but they've been excellent, and from England's POV Jack Reed is playing the best rugby of his career so far.

I think the Cowboys will beat Brisbane. Thurston has been on another level the last two weeks.
