I think next week will be a good indication of what Radders has done for our attitude. If we play to our ability, we win, I have no doubts about that. But Cas are a useful team and if we're not on our game then we get beat. This is the kind of game that we have slipped up in far too often in recent seasons.

I was against his appointment and so far I'm impressed but not convinced. Going forward we are playing the best attacking rugby since John Kear and Peter Sharp were in charge. Defensively we are not as good as under Gentle and I'm really worried about all the penalties we are conceding, particularly for holding down. If we can win the next 3 games which are against teams we really should beat, I'll be a lot more convinced.

The next 3 are must win really. None of them are easy, but they are all games that I would be disappointed to lose. If we then back up three wins by beating Huddersfield, then I will start to get a little excited.

Gentle was fooking useless but he had most on here cumming in their pants although he had no proven track record to any extent..... He proved it!
What you'll get from Radders is what you see, it may fail, it may succeed.

I like his interviews. No whining, and some good analogies for a rookie. Liked him talking about Ellis, Feka and Westy (think it was those three) "kicking the door down" so the backs could make their raids. Sounded giddy about the Cas game, as much as a RL fan as head coach of one of the teams involved.

Why is it Crazy to expect Radders to be treated different to any other coach if he isn't upto the job.

Gentle's main problem was the players down under are able to play to different game plans most of the players in Superleague find it difficult to play to 5 runs and a kick at times.

Personally think with Gentle our loss is someone else's gain, he's obviously well regarded down under.

Until we manage to find a coach that can manage to get the players to play the full 80 mins consistently I personally wont be happy and neither should anyone else. and NO i don't think Radders is that coach imo

Gentle was another coach who is a great assistant but not a great head coach.

Gentle recruitment was very poor and the reason he didn't succeed.

Radders is doing pretty well so far. In the same way it would have been idiotic to denounce his appointment before he'd coached a game it would be equally silly to laud his appointment after 4 games. It'll be 12 months at least before any firm judgement on his ability as a SL coach can be better assessed.

I'm not going to start bagging Gentle but watching some of Hull's attacking plays on Friday was light years away from anything we managed to conjure up under Gentle or Agar for that matter. Yes it did break down in patches but we're ony four games in.

If we beat Cas we'll put another 1000 on the Widnes gate.

Like quite a few fans I was not convinced with Radders appointment but he's had a great start I think and is certainly going the right way in proving the doubters wrong.

Has anyone been to training and seen first hand if the training has shifted in focus and the players are actually drilling set moves and the attacking structure a lot more? So far this season the attack has looked much more slick and perhaps Gentles mistake was assuming the players were able to produce a certain standard without having to drill it into them so focused more on defence? The pack has made a huge difference but these same players who could barely throw a pass last season now seem to pass accurately and at pace. Fair play to Radford.

Is that down to drilling moves, or spending more time on core skills?

We beat wire in the league with an game plan that worked. We never used the same game plan till wirein the arcup. And won again. Players couldn't find reason with some of the ideas either. Silly things like ogre wasn't allowed beyond the outside of the right upright. There was no scope to play what you saw. Hence the skillful player Westy is is showing up now!
Plus a better stronger more powerful pack. Gentle actually admitted he'd got it wrong with a small mobile pack
Conditioner had some strange ideas too. Like no carbohydrates when training. Session in morning, light dinner with veg and then field sessions. Players tired and drained so you'd assume not absorbing properly what's being said!
All these areas look like they've been addressed by the way we are playing. Long may it continue

Radders is doing ok, but if we had not had 4 points from the two home games so far then I would have been dissapointed

The main difference is that he has got us playing attractive attacking rugby which is easy on the eye, and although we lost to Wire we could easily have won that game and we were not far away against Saints. I'm enjoying watching FC at the moment.

Early report is much improved but could do better. Radders stated that Bradford would be the acid test but for me its Castleford on Sunday, a team that at the start of the season we would have expected to beat but who have got off to a great start, think it will be tight and I hope it doesn't come down to goal kicks to decide the outcome.

totaly agree with all you say gerrum.as you can see by my local,i travel a long way to watch fc,and that game against bradford was well worth the journey.was hoping to get to castleford,but it`s a bit dodgy with the train service.
