As regards salary cap, no one on here knows how much weve spent no matter how much they think theyre in the know. Only the board and Rule the tool have that info. This club has never spent money in abundance so how people can come to the conclusion weve spent the full £1.6m is beyond me.

Webster [iwas[/i an organiser. And he was so good at SL level that Rovers replaced him with Dobson. Since then, he's played only national league rugby (unless you count the one game he played for Hull), and not very recently at that.

I'm not knocking the guy, but I really don't think he's the answer. If you're trying to bring back someone like Allan Langer (not now, obviously) to bail you out, then it might be worth a punt. But Webster was only ever average and his best days are long behind him.

If Webster didn't get injured he would have been our 7 until at least the end of that season and then who knows what would have happened.

If in the short term you want some direction around the park and a good short kicking game then you have the right man but like I say only a short term fix

Yes. I'm sure Rovers would have got rid of a player they were intending to keep the following season just because he picked up an injury. He'd been a loyal servant to Rovers for many years, they wouldn't have just ditched him because he was injured unless they were planning to get rid anyway.



If he had been playing SL relatively recently, I'd agree. But he hasn't played at all for ages, and when he did it was in the Championship. At his best, he'd have been a decent option for cover. But those days are long gone. He'll be as rusty as hell and a yard or two off the pace. That wouldn't improve things one jot.

We should of gone for jamie rooney as cover for long/horne and if we did i dont think we would be having this conversation, granted rooney is no world beater but he would of provided adequate cover and would of been alot better then what we have now.

After watching last night I reckon a high percentage of players will play on the needle on Thursday.....I would not rule out seeing O' Meley.

With O'meley & Moa back it will be a bruising game, plus with the kick up the backside after last night, it will be a very interesting game imo...I reckon we could respond from last nights performance, it will be no walk over for any team on Thursday.

i think you'd be mad to play Webbo, was at best an average SL no7, who hasn't played that well at NL level for Widnes. Hope O'meley and Moa are both fit though, will be a good battle with Clinton and Vella, who are both playing well at the moment.

Why not play with one half and play with an extra forward?

Hull KR are not the toughest set of forwards in SL and will struggle pound for pound against Hull's forwards.

Play Horne as the only half and Berro/Houghton rotating. Tansey can weigh in with kicking options from FB and the extra forward would help tire KR very quickly.
