It was a bad game, but it wasn't the worst in a long time. Hull vs Wakefield was worse.

I hope you're right but the top sides have more than 1 top notch half back, whereas I believe we fail to recruit half backs unless they are over 30 ( no matter how good they are ) and 1 at a time instead of getting 2/3 quality half backs at the club. Time and time again we just pop someone in the key half back position to fill a shirt NOT lead the team around the pitch.



My hopes for our player recruitment during the next couple of seasons is to get half backs our priority.

Would be nice to have a good option to fill in or to take over if the main man is playing poorly. But unfortunately i cannot remember the last time we had an option like this.

No it was a case of putting all our eggs in one basket and those eggs have turned out to be scrambled. A lot on here were worried about have to rely solely on Long this season and those worries have certainly borne fruit.

I thik there were at least three more eggs in the basket (Fitz, O'Meley and Berrigan) and two of them even have egg heads

we have needed quality halfbacks for as long as I can remember, Long is quality but he's at the wrong end of his career, the last quality we had at the right time of their careers was Entat/Mackey.
