I can see a period of not winning much for Leeds to be honest. their back line looks great, but their pack is ageing and could be detrimental to them over the next couple of years

They'll just produce some more, they have a great academy.

But they wont be ready straight away, they have Singleton now, but Peacock, Kylie, Moore, Bailey, JJB etc dont really have any replacements showing the faces in the 1st team. Their hooker situation is currently pretty poor too.

Spot on there. Theres no loyalty in any sport these days as much as we like to think there is or should be. Money talks and RL is a very short career. Theres nothing wrong in wanting to get the best for yourself in the relatively short time you have in the game.

Think of it like this: You are emigrating to Aus, you hand your notice in at work, they employ a replacement for you, then the specialist job you were going to in Aus no longer exists so you decide to stay at home. What would you do? You would get another job and sharpish to pay the bills as your boss couldn't sack the person who took over your job. Toms situation is no different.

Face of the matter is, he was very close to joining Crunulla until their drugs investigation when he was advised to stay well clear.

I also don't understand how some think Leeds have pulled the rug from beneath us. AP offered him a deal and Briscoe declined. When Briscoe came back when his Aus thing went sour, he was told there was not deal.

Also don't get the "two faced" comment from another poster. Tom has done the right thing and kept his mouth shut. Not like he said he wanted to be at Hull all his life and then turned his back on the club.

We see the same posters demanding that we get rid of players they don't deem good enough mid contract, you couldn't make it up.

Good Luck to Tom Briscoe, we held on to him a lot longer than I thought we would to be honest. You can't blame him for securing a long term deal with a club that really does have aspirations to be the best

Fantastic player one that will be a massive loss to us. He'll show some of the doubters here just what a player he is in a quality team.

I thank him for his time in a FC shirt & the great memories he's given us. I also wish him luck in his international career but I can't bring myself to wish him luck in a Leeds shirt. They've certainly got themselves a potential world class player there & no doubt he will get much better service then he ever did here.

Its just a shame that he feels the need to move on to achieve any real success in the game. That he couldn't be persuaded to see AP's vision for the club. Speaks volumes really.

Depends when their deals were agreed, same a s Para, Feka, Thompson and when we sorted out the upgrades.

Went to Aus, found a club, told AP, AP went out and signed Paea, Toms deal fell through so he went back to AP and said he would re-sign for us to be told it was too late, his wages had been spent. The only thing you're right on is he signed for Leeds ages ago but chose to keep it quiet. He was told by his bosses that the right thing to do would be to tell the other players first then tell the fans, but for whatever reason he chose not to tell either, his perogative.

The following appears to be accepted though;
1. Briscoe offered "massive Deal" but says wants to go NRL
2. Falls through
3. We say sorry, no money left for that offer. So am now guessing that we don't offer a deal at all as
4. He apparently signs for leeds, as third choice, for less money than our original offer.

So this implies we never offered him the same deal as leeds were offering, as if so, he would have signed for us?

Either this is true, or some porky pies are evident. I cannot believe that we are unable to match Leeds offer. (we have since signed Tuson, Biggs? Feka) We either did not want to, or he had decided to leave no matter what.
