By better do you mean more entertaing to watch (which I agree with), because the table would suggest at this point they are not better.

| We can sit here all you want and say "we've had worse times"
You can thow Lloyd in the mix. David Latham et al.
But fact is, we have the most expensive squad ever at the club. One of the strongest, lined with internationals, medal winners, state of origin etc, yet we are cack.
The days of being rubbish and Wigan/Saints/Leeds d!cking us by 60 was the days we fielded the likes of Steve Durham, Neil Turner, Steve Craven, Andy Mighty, Rob Danby, Mike Dixon, Kev Gray , Shane Endacott, Mark Hewitt, Johan Windley, Rich Wilson, Leroy Mckenzie
The last 8 names played at the "potentially last ever Hull game" at Central park in 1995, score 60 - 6

Or is their disapointment due to the fact your team are higher than theirs at this point

| Those who say its not bad or that bad because its been worse in the past, and there are clubs in a worse position than us are a joke.
First off, in the past have we had a top class ground, with regular 5 figure crowds, with one of the best community projects in UK sport, tons coming in through merch etc etc? Also, does it have to be the worst in our history for it to be a problem?
Secondly, why does it matter if other clubs have it worse? I couldnt care less who is better or worse, what matters to me is the club I support and at the moment its awful.
We have a board who make mistakes every season it seems, distances themselves from the fans (even slag them off I have heard in the past) and who accept mediocrity. We have a totally inept coaching staff. What type of coaching staff manages to prepare a team that gets knackered after one half, despite not having a game for 2 weeks prior? Its was 3 weeks since a game of high intensity. Our line was awful against Wire. I couldnt believe how flat it was. In defence, the line was lazy and slow which led to three tries on the overlap.
Then we have a set of players where alot of them are either crap, inconsistant or cba. We have few players who try their hearts out. A few of them are backs who barely get service, and in the forwards the liks of Lee and Burnett are young and arent superb players (although good and developing).
Then we have a youth system that year on year signs up talent from the Hull area and in the past couple of years, from beyond. They then get to reserve level and break into the first team and they become average SL players. Name me a top player that we have produced since Hornes debut 10 years ago? Not including Briscoe who hasnt had enough time to prove it yet, the only full level international (not including the crappy England A sides of the past) we have produced is Yeaman iirc. Thats shocking imo.
Boycotts are a waste of time unless, in our case, there were about 6k or 7k home fans at leats not turning up, with the majority making a protest outside the ground while the game is going on. Thats never going to happen. Theres all this talk about protests yet theres been ample opportunity to do this in the stands. Leeds is a perfect chance: large open terrace, Sky cameras etc. Yet I bet there wont be a single banner in sight, with the odd 'sack the board' chant.
Personally I've got to a point where I dont care much about rugby anymore, so not someone who wants to start this sort of things. Theres only two reasons I go: because I love going to professional sports matches and I refuse to pay the prices Leeds United charge for L1 football. Once they get promoted (and they dont put the prices up much higher) it will be bye bye to Hull FC for me

We'd be nowhere near the top 2 because the players would still be coached by the conservative (at best) sharp and agar. We'd still be soft in defence, unable to slow down the opposition PTB, unable to get a fast PTB ourselves, still playing a one man out forward orientated game (despite on of the smallest packs in SL), still have no kicking game, still have no direction and leadership on the field, still have forwards who jog in instead of charging in, still have no offloads, still have no players backing up the man with the ball, still be clueless in the opposition 20, still have no dummy runners etc etc
The list of our failings on the field is massive and it's to do with coaching and/or execution of the game plan. Yes, if teh players mentioned had been available we'd have won some of those tight matches but that wouldn't make us a good side. How many times have we scored 40+ points in a SL game in the last 3 years? How many times have saints, wigan, leeds, wire? The failings at the club are down to mediocre coaching and poor recruitment and retention. We need a top class coach who can come in and get rid of the average players, replace them with better players and get them playing to their potential

| Loving the fact people are calling me a bandwagon supporter. The fact I went to City all the time when they were one of the worst professional teams in the country because I was way too young to go to Leeds by myself but loved football says something. Along with the fact I have seen many more Leeds United games since they have left the Premiership than when they were in it (surely I would have stopped liking them when I got relegated if I was a bandwagoner?), in fact I have been every season. The fact that I refuse to pay on average 25 quid a game for third tier football makes me a bandwagoner?
The fact I would stop going to rugby because barely anyone on the pitch seems to care anymore, and the club arent doing anything about it makes me a bandwagoner?
I would follow FC through thick and thin as long as the players gave as much effort as they could. I would support them if they were the worst team in the league, the worst team in the country even, if I felt the club were doing all they could to improve the squad.
Yeah, total bandwagoner me
