Before you all call me out and say i'm talking a lot of tripe, i don't claim to being one of these 'in the know' posters and i only post rumours that i know are true.. infact i've only posted one rumour on this site before and that was about George Burgess moving to South Sydney a good month before it hit the press so you can believe what i say or not.

Apparently there have been a few Australian clubs enquiring about buying out Briscoe's contract at the end of the season and he has said he is very keen to go over and play in Oz next year. This came from someone in direct contact with him.

and if there's any truth in it good luck to him. Couldn't blame him.

There is a poll on the League Express website on who is the best British winger in SL. Tom Briscoe winning at the minute, get on there and vote!

I'm not surprised in the least. If the club could arrange a three (or more)-year sabbatical, as opposed to outright freeing from his contract, it could prove to be of great benefit in the future.

For those who doubt he would want to play in the best competition in the world, give your head a shake. Given the choice, what would you rather have: a beach house on Bondi or a static at Kilnsea?

With the increase in TV deals and Salary Cap in Oz I am not surprised that the scouting nets are reaching across to the UK. I can see a few of our better players having the opportunity to play in the NRL over the next couple of years.

Good luck to them all as it will certainly help our International team.

There are some folk, who just far much more prefer being where they are, with their family and friends close to them.

I'm sure the club will be offering him a new contract if it's true about him attracting interest from the NRL, hopefully he'll stay

Briscoe will be playing for FC next year, i have no doubt in my mind he could hack the NRL and that there is an interest in him. I just think he still only 21 and has time on his side he can sill wait 3-4 years and then go.
Briscoe is still only young and can/will have a fantastic career (injury permitting) no matter what he does but i think a move to Oz won't come about till later on.

Hopefully he can help FC win something before he hops on a plane

Going nowhere, hull Signed him up for 5 years as the oz clubs were sniffing last year. We don't need to sell unlike some clubs and won't sell. Can someone tell me the last time an Aussie team forked out a transfer fee for an overseas player. Just doesn't happen.

Under contract til 2013 lets just hope we can give him a year or 2 more before he feels like venturing elsewhere.

perhaps if you actually bothered to look at the subject of the post being 'Tom Briscoe' then maybe this will give you some kind of clue why his name keeps cropping up ?

Something else you'll notice looking through this thread, is that you're the only non-Hull FC fan constantly posting about him. Again, I'm worried by this.

correct,not an FC fan - great bunch of fans though and have lots of mates in the area from both sides of the divide,even stayed up in the Springbank area in the 70s for a while.

i'm a RL fan first & foremost and any club with your fanbase deserves respect,sorry my honesty gets up your nose.
