Anyone who actually believe's there is a tiff between PG and McRae really will believe anything.

Also anyone who thinks bomber is interfering by signing players, need to realize that is HIS job. Gentle tells Bomber who he wants and bomber gets the ball rolling, Gentle makes the overall FINAL decision on any player coming in.

Me neither, I was more questioning why people would believe a players wife about an issue like that that players would know nothing about more than anything.

I know someone who is involved with the running of YPI and deals with Bomber and Gentle regularly and says they've always seemed to get on well together, and that McRae got a good deal for the club for the facilities last year.

So why didn't o'carroll play yesterday then?

I can think of 4 possibilities:

Either they thought his head wasn't right after being told;
Gentle doesn't see the point as he wants rid;
He's being frozen out to ensure he leaves;
We have some sort of clause to get rid based on appearances, and we don't want to jeopardise it.

2-3 seem a bit harsh, but possibly necessary.

On the 16:25 Radio Humberside sports news the interview with McRea had said that O'Carroll wasn't selected for his own best interest as he could have been injured, and that he hasn't necassarily played his last game for Hull FC. On the 17:25 sports desk it was edited ommitting the part about picking up an injury and not playing his last game............maybe Gollum up to a bit of mischief.
